We don't need a break away creating anymore, as it's already in existence under the guise of the CL.
How many is it from England now taking part next season? 6? 7?
It's gone from being the pinnacle of the game in Europe to another watered down version of a great tournament.
And don't get me started on those EU minnows Chelsea actually celebrating their victory in The Lada Riva Conference Cubicle Cup! After all the dosh they've spent! Jokers.

I did read somewhere that the myriad of meaningless football competitions and countless iterations to increase the number of games played, whilst causing a seismic eco killing global footprint across the world are in fact all form….
Part of our global commitment to bring football to more disadvantaged children in those far flung countries that nobody has ever even heard off, but that the respective UEFA or FIFA officials partner is hoping to pick up some really nice conflict diamonds.

I cheered leeds on in champions leauge and we didn’t win the leauge the season before, I suggest anyone who enjoyed that season and that campaign shouldn’t be so forgetful or two faced to now citicise. He without sin cast first stone and all that.
Yes it’s been watered down yes maybe too much but if leeds won it we’d all be cheering.

Club World Cup will only attract viewers from the fans of the teams teams in it. In my mind it will be a big flop. Can’t see so many neutrals interested in it.
I won’t be watching any of those games, got better things to do with my time and am not that desperate that I can’t take a 3 month break without football.
It’s more exciting when you have to wait longer.

That's a fair enough statement Bermo, but let's not ignore the fact that those 6 or 7 are also joined in European competition by others in an additional few Minnie mouse tournaments too. That's effectively half of the league involved in supposedly "exclusive and elite" European tourneys! It kinda takes the edge off.

To be fair, I have a passing interest in the CWC, only for curiosity sake. I think it will be regretted given the players will only have 3 to 4 weeks off before the new season. As long as City don't win [or Chelsea, god forbid! ], then watching live footy is never a bad thing, intertwined with attending / watching our own friendlies.
Annoyingly, another subscription is needed to watch it!

I do agree bright, in principle I hate them and would love to go back to the old ways, however it won’t happen and I do think we might be competing in these fairly soon and if like spuds we get champs leauge via the back door o will cheer my heart out
