MOT with amps. He's got blue, yellow and white blood running through his veins ???.
16 May 2025 16:23:22
The Daily Fail up to its old tricks again.
16 May 2025 17:20:30
Have missed that one! What's the scoop?
{Ed025's Note - nothing really Brighty, just that his ex bird had his son in a Galatasary shirt and some are putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5 mate..
16 May 2025 21:39:45
Players are too adored. Ampadu would be gone in a second if say Liverpool came in for him.
So all that white yellow blue bollox is just bollox.
16 May 2025 21:54:58
If this is the case, I can’t understand supporting murder! What is these people’s minds? Excepting money. Shocking. Still we MOT.
16 May 2025 22:49:02
Ampadu's ex is a Galatasaray fan and so are her family so stands to reason her son would have a shirt. Nothing to do with what happened in 2000.

Spot on Corky pal, like cooper and Bamford before him? Leeds through and through seemingly
you would swear they play for free the love affair is seemingly so strong ?.
17 May 2025 07:53:07
I didn’t know that Alf.
17 May 2025 07:59:47
Cork of course amps would join Liverpool, who wouldn’t.
Football is a career and business. Who wouldn’t want to play at the best level and win stuff as a player and earn the most money as a employee.
We can’t blame players for leaving but they don’t mean they ain’t also loyal to leeds. Look at raphina and Pablo and two examples, batty also comes to mind.
17 May 2025 08:52:14
Bermo I think the point both Corky'and I are making is fans of the clubs need to calm down with the Eulogizing and genuflecting of certain players .
It's ridiculous the way some. fans genuinely believe players bleed certain clubs colours
By all means support and encourage players, but be under no illusion, it's all for money, it's all for their betterment.
I have no issues with anyone taking more cash or moving to a better club, none whatsoever, but players "bleeding " Leeds colours is such a load of old boy-lux.

Thanks for the info Ed!
And I get what you're saying Chris, but there are exceptions, where players actually do build a strong bond with the club, and an affinity with the fans. Rapha celebrated our promotion, follows the club, and has a Leeds tattoo, even tho he was here for a short time, and won eff all! Some players just "get" the club and it's ethos, and fully buy into it. We have had more than our fair share of mercenaries, but also those that love the club. It's unfair, and inaccurate to say that they haven't.

Chris, I worked for my company for 40 years; my first job and my last job. I would have done anything for that company and did; I remained loyal to them despite numerous opportunities to move to competitors offering far better renumeration and benefits [and locations]. I joined the company when I was 17, with around 10 others of a similar age; all of us, grew up together in that business, developed together and whilst not every one got to the same lofty heights within the company, we all stayed with the company until we retired [I was the 2nd last to retire, 5 years ago]. That company went through many sticky patches over the years, but that company also exhibited loyalty to us. I still "help" them today without any recompense whatsoever.
I don't think it's beyond the realms that footballers can have the same feeling about a club; granted, on the surface it all seems about the money, but in what walk of life isn't everything about money?
Maybe I have a distorted view, but at the same time, I have more faith in my fellow man / woman, that they can actually strive to be part of something bigger than them, rather just chase the money.
Paul Madeley famously signed a contract he never read because he wanted to play for Leeds, as did Eddie Gray. Luke Ayling plays for Middleborough these days, but still sits in the stands at Elland Road watching "his" Leeds [his words]. Last month he put £5K behind the bar for Leeds fans. I have no doubt that Coops, Ayling [as has Dallas] will all will want to be part of the Leeds family when their careers end.

ani4ni. totally agree with your point.
There are many examples of players who have shown loyalty to their team.
Alan Smith went to **** because they offered the biggest fee to Leeds. He foregoed his fee to help his boyhood team. And all he gets is vile treatment by buddies.
Gerrard at Liverpool
Haaland wears Leeds shorts even at the City training ground.
In their early teens, most kids love a team, and love football. None of them love a fantasy lifestyle (usually that's their pushy dad's, encouraging their pension pots on) .

I do understand your well articulated point Ani, I myself am with the same company 36 years so I feel I can also say I feel your words
However where both of us differ to footballers is there isn't the same longevity in their jackpot careers, granted afterwards they strive for a more mundane career, but I will not be persuaded from the view that say from 20-33 years of age, a top flight pro footballer is all ABOUT CASH, maximize their potential
And well done for those who hit jackpots we can only dream of
So from a man with currently 36 years single service I feel able to speak my reasoning also.

Well said Chris…appreciate your point.
17 May 2025 15:04:25
Thank you Sir + Ditto to yourself pal ?.

Very good counter points made and they do make sense.
