Who like me believes we should cash in on Pascal this summer? He may be a very good champo defender but his lack of pace will be his achilles heel in the Prem. Rodon is more than capable to adapt to life next season.

I would mate, no coincidence we got over the line with Amps there and not him.
13 May 2025 13:15:14
It's an interesting one ILK, he has qualities but has also looked suspect with pace and reading of a game. A good squad player maybe but if a reasonable offer came in it eould seem sensible to cash in.
13 May 2025 13:46:36
Spurs reportedly still interested. His lack of pace worries me also for the style we play but if we go to a back 3 he could be an asset.
13 May 2025 15:03:01
He'd fit in well with Spuds current defence ?.
13 May 2025 15:10:09
Probably the best we have in the air, counter that with his lack of pace and recent injury record, I’d take any fair offer but wouldn’t be upset if he wasn’t sold and remains.
Farkey obviously rated him high enough to make him skipper, so think he may stay.
13 May 2025 15:31:01
Get shut never a premier league player.
13 May 2025 15:32:58
Yes providing we bring in another centre half who is good in the air but has pace - if not then keep him as back up.
Said a few weeks ago, could do far worse than the lad from Luton, Christ Makosso.
13 May 2025 15:33:45
I think I would sell, I like him but agree with majority about lack i of pace.
13 May 2025 16:20:04
Cash in and move on. Amps, Rodong + prem defender would be a solid back three. A y chance we can poach another Welsh defender?
13 May 2025 17:25:09
Would have to be a good offer, and for us to have a few great value replacements lined up. We can't be light in that area, like we have been in recent seasons.
13 May 2025 18:44:01
No doubt he is Leeds through and through, but because of his issues, lack of pace, injury prone and making a few blunders, I would let him go. Squad player at best if he stays.
14 May 2025 07:18:08
I will beg to differ on the subject.
Pascal Struijk I believe forms the foundation of how we play, especially in our build up play when it’s formed between goalie, Rodon and him.
Struijk is also very adept at holding the ball and doesn’t give it away as much as our other defenders another positive is that he is more willing and shows bravery in advancing up the pitch.
His interceptions are also on a high level and being also precise with his timing.
To say he lacks a little speed is not enough for me to want to see him leave.
Pascal Struijk will definitely be an asset to us in the Premiership although I do believe we will be in the market for another CB as back up.

Straight swop for Dan Ballard if Sunderland don't go up.
14 May 2025 08:36:41
Ballard doesn't meet the criteria I'm afraid. Solid, physical CB, but won't deliver on the gaffers style of play. Unless of course, that changes completely for the PL, which I very much doubt.
14 May 2025 16:33:31
He does gave his good points OP, but as I said earlier, a squad player at best if we are to stay up. Do you agree, we looked more solid defensively in the last 7 games with Ampadu at the back in his place?
14 May 2025 18:43:10
Feath, the Premiership is going to be a slightly different game for Pascal i imagine, a league that perhaps he will be more adaptable to.
It’s likely he won’t be asked to venture too far up the field, depending on who we are playing and considering the speed of some teams counter attacks. As a conventional defender he is tactically much better than Amps.
I think you have to bare in mind that we will not be playing against Championship teams anymore.
15 May 2025 08:17:06
That an interesting pov OP.
I don't think Pasc is the only one that it might apply to, too (I mean that the difference between PL and Champo might benefit some players) .
I also reckon Piroe might surprise a few people, and teams in the PL, and also possibly Rama, DJ and Gnonto. It's at least less likely that the last 3 will get clattered without due punishment quite so often, for sure!
15 May 2025 18:57:44
Great shout bright I said the same thing about priole think the space he will be afforded might do him a few favours and can see him doing well. But then my other prediction is tanaka being so good he gets a call up for England in the World Cup so who knows.

Bermo! ??.
