Cannot understand the continuing silence from the Leeds United board?
Parking the appalling treatment of a very decent man in DF the season is still to play for, the title is still to be won!
I’m hopeful Amps has the team fighting tooth and nail for their coach, who has protected and supported the entire squad sometimes through his own detriment throughout this promotion year.
It may be a rumour but it could be squashed in an instance if the board wished to do it. If there is truth in it how has it been allowed to leak out unless it was premeditated in the hope of drip feeding the news would attract less attention.
American investors will not be big on sentiment or our legacy but laser focussed on maximising their return on investment, but leaving these stories to go unchallenged, lacks class and is a sad indictment of our owners, and I believe reflects poorly on the club as a whole.
Daniel Farke and his victorious team certainly deserved better.

It's on the BBC Leeds page as gossip and they don't usually post stuff that has no truth to it.
We may be hearing silence as the club find it distasteful to discuss while the league isn't over.
24 Apr 2025 09:53:50
I wouldn't be at all surprised if it were the London press trying to unsettle the club as they always have done - create some outlandish story designed to get everyone's back up and cause chaos!
London press, always have been, and always will be, a complete and utter bunch of (insert rude word here! )

I imagine Daniel Farke has personally been informed that his job is safe therefore ending this gossip which some Leeds fans actually want.
These kind of gossip stories are spewed out by known Leeds haters like Abongalhor then stirred up by dodgy journalists.
This story is fake news, but I’m surprised a number of Leeds fans actually want it to happen.
Disgraceful!

Opti,
The fans respect farke for what he has achieved and deserves the recognition and praise for that.
However, looking at it from a purely business point of view, is Farke proven at the highest levels? He isn't. He failed, or was failed, on previous occasions. Because of that, he isn't a sure fire bet.
For us, our goal is to stay in the premier league next year.
For the business, their goal might be champions league place, at minimum.
If that's the goal for the business, and they're willing to spend hundreds of millions on expansions and players, they need a sure betanager and coaching staff.

Good points made on this issue by some including MOTagain, Spanish
OPs take on it is naive.
24 Apr 2025 12:52:14
The problem is MOT that some are judging DF on his previous terms in the Premiership when circumstances for him and Norwich were and are very different to the set of terms which are laid before DF this time.
The circumstances now could give Farke the tools to operate more effectively in the Premiership this time.
There’s no guarantee for any replacement for Farke whether he has Premiership credentials or not.
This story has got nothing to do with sentiment whatsoever, just a very good coach who has just earned promotion and broken many Leeds United stats on the way and is probably the best and most equipped coach to give us some success and keep us in the Premiership.
For me he has not only earned that right but it also just makes sense when you add everything up. You don’t need to be an expert in football or the Premiership to see that either.
24 Apr 2025 15:18:44
OP, you could well be right about Farke but it’s not your money or your decision, so quite right that the board takes the responsibility for sticking or twisting! He was appointed with a clear objective of getting us up. Job done, now to agree new objectives and u destined how he wants to do it and whether that fits with the board view. For me totally sensible way to run a business!
24 Apr 2025 16:18:12
The reason I wrote “parking” the decision to stick or twist, the rumours should have been quashed or a holding statement issued at least until the season is completed.
Understand the importance of the managerial decision just think it’s been managed poorly, but in the absence of any response from the board, it does lean towards a new appointment being made.
Coach in the premier league is the biggest single difference between the half of the division trying to stay on the gravy train each season.
£10 million won’t get you an epl standard full back, but just say it got you Thomas Frank willing to come to Leeds United and get you established in the epl?
Any board would look seriously at that, just ways and means of going about your business that’s all.
24 Apr 2025 16:41:53
Spanish, you make a good point, but to caveat, Farke was awarded a 3 year contract, with the expectation that he would get us promoted last year, so by implication, they expected him to be managing the EPL for us.
If there is any substance to the rumours and personally hope there isn't, I can only assume, an "opportunity" has arisen that makes sense to the board, i. e. someone is available / going to become available that appeals to them. Someone like Carlo Ancelotti etc who is likely to be leaving at the end of the season.
If I was a betting man [I'm not], I think what is possibly behind these stories, is that the board is lining up "likely" candidates to get in a soon as possible should the wheels come off early next season. I have said before, Farke is not going to be given a lot of time [unfairly], i. e. they won't give him the same amount of time as say Russel Martin.
24 Apr 2025 16:44:59
I understand opti but there's more reasons for Farke to leave than stay and more reasons for the club to change management than stay.
If Farke stays, will he takes us to the top 6? I don't think he will. If he doesn't, his reputation will be tarnished. Just look at bielsa.
If Farke leaves now, he owns the championship, he's a proven, record breaking, team-promoting manager and nothing can take that away from him.
The fact is, if 49+RB wants top six then a new team, coaching staff, stadium and manager are needed.
These guys aren't messing about, they aren't an investment firm to sit on easy money like man U. These lads are building a club like a abromovic did with Chelsea, or the Arabs did with Man City.
There will be a lot of big changes soon and we may not like all of them, but for sure, Leeds will be a huge club, one of the biggest in England and the world.
How long have we waited for a bigger ER? Here it is. Buckle up, buckaroos, Leeds are coming home.
24 Apr 2025 17:42:21
Very bold statements there MOTagain esp the final paragraph.
24 Apr 2025 17:52:14
Mike Keegan from the Mail doesn't tend to make this stuff up and as I already said the Mail is the club's preferred conduit for info. i'm 95% sure the article is correct so the club won't deny it. The article certainly doesn't say Farke is defnitely going either so there may not be a change but they are looking into it and will make a change if they can find the right replacement. The Telegraph are also picking it up now.
24 Apr 2025 18:41:15
Alf right about the journalist who wrote the article. Apparently his material is usually from a source within the club. It just seems logical to me that at this stage the board would have a good look at whether he is the best solution for taking us forward! And they might deduce he is and importantly has learned a lot from his time in the premier league about what the club needs to do this time! And now is the time to do it as promotion secured, which was the job not winning the title.
It seems strange to me to accept that Farke will be sacked if we have a bad start but not to think it’s a good idea to be absolutely sure about the decision before we embark on lots of spending and key decisions!
