Some of the fan base aren't convinced by Farkey sure
Bottom line he got out managed and out performed last season by McKenna at Ipswich and Martin at Saints
His stubborness in picking a failing keeper for 85 matches really grated also.

OP YES I wanted Farkey sacked because as stated above he kept on playing Calamity Mes costing us a barrel load of dropped poinrs
Farkey had already flunked last season
and this season continuing playing Mes was increasingly looking likely ending in yet another Farkey failure.
Fortunately playing Mes was taken out of Farkeys very stubborn hands one way or another 4 games ago!

Whilst I have never thought farke would not be able to get us up. I have never been totally sold on his style of football. Maybe after the absolute roller-coaster of bielsa's style it's seemed a bit of a plod at times watching farkes leeds.
It does feel like we are retaining the ball and hoping something will happen rather than making it happen.
In the prem is where we will see if farke can cut it. As has been said before with Norwich he probably did not have the financial clout or the draw that leeds should have. And hopefully he has learnt from his two terms in the epl.
But we have seen with the managers like warnock, Bruce and Parker that just because you get out of the championship doesn't mean you are going to compete in the prem.
A lot rides on recruitment next season. Real quality needs to come in to stay in the epl. Our defence will be severely tested week in week out and I hope we are ready for it!

I've said before I wish nothing but the best for Farke and I hope he brings us great fortune in the future and I hope he has great success in the PL.
I just can't help wonder if Leeds are succeeding because we have a great team regardless of the coach. OTOH, Solomon, Bogle and Tanaka show Farke and/ or the coaching staff are great at developing some players.
OTOH, we do seem to hate our yewf players, but that goes all the way back to Marsch. so who knows?

We have a great team because of Farke. At the start of the season plenty were questioning why sicknote Solomon was even loaned never-mind playing. No one had heard of Tanaka. Everyone said there was no way Rodon would sign for a Championship side. No one wanted Aaronson. No one was interested in Rothwell; he was a cheap Gray “knockoff. ” S49’s asset stripping blah blah. Joseph had to be our striker etc. The value of the team at the start of the season was “rock bottom, ” and doing it on the cheap. Farke has built a good team, made them better players, and significantly increases the value of the team.

I won't deny that the team this season is better than the last. Or that the players who joined us have thrived. It is a shame crew, chambers, creswell and Geldhardt couldn't have gotten more game time, but I suppose themselves the breaks.
I would love to see Bamford, Schmidt and guilovogi do some magic, just for the feels and magic. Here's hoping.

Yes ani farke has built a strong championship side as he has before with Norwich. But that is no surprise with the strong squad already here and the bit of money we had from the ones that moved on.
The question is can he build a prem side? Rodon, amps, dj and maybe struijk are in my opinion able to compete in the epl. Question marks about the rest of the squad. Even tanaka who has been a revelation since coming to England will need to raise his game significantly for the prem.
So I say we'll done and bravo to farke for this season but it's only half way done its about competing in the prem and staying there.

Indeed Ben, but then aside from the mega rich clubs, (even them at times) , how many managers do actually thrive in the EPL? They all end up being sacked because they aren’t doing enough to match the expectations placed upon them. The next question, who would replace Farke, that would guarantee to achieve more with the same team, because by and large, it will be the same team. Spending limits for this first season are not going to transform the team.
Farke has a lot to prove, no doubt, but I don’t see many alternatives. I want him to get the chance, a decent chance with the fans right behind him.

I beg to differ Ben. It's all about promotion initially and Farke was brought in primarily to deliver that goal- next seasons issues are for next season. IF we make it.

I can’t see Farke changing too much for the Premiership if we get there. We play possession based football but as we’ve seen with Russell Matins Southampton they completely belly flopped trying to play the same tactics.
Farke will have to adapt against some teams and we will have to learn how to defend better also but I don’t envisage any wholesale changes to the way we play.
It’s fair to say that Southampton were completely rubbish at it and is the main reason they failed miserably.
Also their recruitment as was Ipswich and Leicester was very poor. Delap being the only stand out player for Ipswich, but one player doesn’t make a team.
