Luton played to survive, they played well above themselves as their last few games prove.
Stop thinking the Championship is a walk in the park.
Admittedly we didn’t play our best but Luton to their credit made sure we couldn’t as much as lowly struggling Oxford proved by beating Sheffield Utd.

Baz, please please please ? post something different than the constant repetitive DF picking Meslier for 20,000 games, yes we know, yes we get it, yes it happened, yes he’s cost us, even though he has saved us sometimes, just change the record mate, it’s doing our heads in! I’m on my way back from Kenilworth Road and I want to read what people’s thoughts are about the game, not wanting to read about a player that’s been dropped, this whole Messlier thing could put a glass eye to sleep! We played very strange today, we couldn’t get used to the pitch and I don’t know if you noticed, but the ball ran slowly as the grass was left longish on purpose and it stopped our flow of play. We became distant and god only knows what DF was thinking with the subs, it strikes me of a man who has run out of ideas! Did anyone notice all the baggage in the technical area, it looked like a band was setting up on the touch line! All of which plus the time wasting at throw ins which the ref never punished, the ref by the way was a muppet, he played to their fans!
I would like to say thank you to each and everyone of their fans who applauded throughout our applause in our tribute to our Kevin and Christopher, great fans thank you ?
It was great to listen to the Sheffield Utd result coming on the way home, but I was a tad disappointed to read some posts on here that say that’s it we are in the play offs, we’ve blown it, one even said another year in the Championship, I mean, come on lads, keep the faith for gods sake! We will get back to normal against Boro midweek then we are at home again, so normal service will be resumed soon, DF will work this out in time for our next game ????.

I would say Willy was ineffective as a number 10 which is no surprise, he’s only effective on the wing.
Basically they dictated the style of play, scrappy a lot of head tennis going on, time wasting. They did everything they could to stop us playing our game and they achieved that pretty well in my opinion.
Opportunities were not going to be plentiful with this kind of game on a deliberately dried out pitch on a windy day.
It was a tough game to play, thought Solomon should’ve scored the winner but a draw is better than a loss away.

Hi Class92, my take on our play was for a better word ‘Flat’, we lacked that fight and I was disappointed by the long ball that we kept playing, we were uncomfortable at playing out from the back, we looked disjointed and our flowing football that we are used to seeing was non existent, but, it was set up to be like that from a very deliberate Luton Town. We could not break them down, we couldn’t handle their play and our players were totally outplayed on many occasions, we got all that we deserved! We seem to have lost our mojo, but I don’t think it’s as bad as some posters are making out, imo I think we will still go up Class ??.

Luton’s press was very effective, reducing our ability to play out from the back. Like Woody says, long ball!? When you’ve put a player in at 10 to create, who makes Paul Daniels look like Khal Drogo……. ??
Too many players, who were excellent just a month ago, not delivering.
And if anyone actually believes for 1 single fraction of a second, that we would have won the league already with Darlow in net, then I know some excellent quacks. (Personally vouch for these, before anyone wets their pants and gets all whiny and offended…. )

Thanks Woody, was never going to be an easy game, most important that we didn’t lose and that we showed some grit and fight especially when out of form, sounds as though we did that.
Think it was Feath that said four points would be a fair return out of Ltn and Boro, thanks again Woody.
