A comment made by George in the live chat boasting he makes little girls moan while he is on top of them. I have two young daughters and talk like that makes me feel sick. I’m expecting a life ban for George.

I uploaded a screenshot of the comment to the sightings Ed. Glad to know that action is being taken though as these kinds of comments should absolutely not be tolerated. Subsequent comments from Baz who thought it was hilarious (lol) and Cork who I initially thought had hit the nail on the head stating that kind of attitude was how Saville got away with it then retracted the statement insisting he was only joking also shows imo their attitudes to the subject. I am also sickened by this in general but also with a 2 yr old daughter. Absolutely disgusting.

Cork it's not acceptable to sympathise with people who think that way, not to turn a blind eye. That doesn't help matters either. I will put it down to naivety if you say you don't understand the impacts of your actions in relation to this but yes I have a vendetta against anyone who thinks sexual assault is acceptable you are absolutely right. Zero tolerance means exactly that and if your attitude is that making a joke about it or ignoring it is the right course of action please take this opportunity to educate yourself and do better next time.

What are the impacts of my actions? What actions are you talking about as I basically just posted last night to move on from George’s distasteful comment. What are you wishing to happen? I don’t agree with running to the teacher and then trying to start a witch hunt. I’ve never been his biggest fan but unless you know something I don’t then let it be. Also I don’t appreciate you trying to bring me in on your “vendetta” by calling me a sympathiser with “people who think this way”

This is exactly how people get away with it Cork - because too many are happy to turn a blind eye and 'keep out of it altogether' when someone has unacceptable views because its 'not cool' to be a squealer or to 'run to the teacher' as you put it (which is classic bully talk by the way) . I'm sure victims of abuse wish somebody had the courage to take a stand as it may have helped them or others. Imagine if it was your daughter - would you prefer someone to stand up for her or just 'move on' or 'keep out of it'? Very few of us know anyone on here personally but one of the things I like about the site is that hateful and despicable abuse is not allowed and I personally would like to keep it that way. Your responses tell me either you lack the courage to take a stand for your supposed beliefs or you don't actually believe what you say. there is no other logical explanation. Either way, you have gone down massively in my estimations.

Nobody myself included has turned a blind eye as you say Alf. I called George out at the time of his remark and I stand by that.
This a Leeds banter site last I heard which was the point I was making when I said move on from George’s comments. If the Ed’s then saw fit to ban him then so be it.
You have really angered and upset me Alf. Calling me a sympathiser and that I lack the courage to take a stand or even that I am being dishonest in my views. Who do you think you are to judge me? You don’t know me from Adam. This is a banter site and a vulgar remark which i'm sure he regrets has turned in to this. You have dragged me into this controversy because you think I made light of George’s comment on the live chat after posting last night that we move on, which was not my intention. You have been extremely patronising and supercilious towards me and you to have gone down in my estimation.

You may have done after I left the chat Cork to give you the benefit of the doubt but certainly not up to the point I left. You nearly did but then spolied all the good work by stating you were only joking. I was upset by the comment and the lack of anyone else taking a stand so I left the chat, admittedly you may have condemned it afterward and if you did I apologise and applaud you. But I can only comment on what I saw up to the point I exited. I really hope you did take a stand after I left, I hope I wasn't the only one.

Yes I compared what George said to Saville and yes I said a minute or so after I was joking. I didn’t think it right to compare what George said to the atrocities inflicted by Saville on children. However this gave you no right to assassinate my character on this forum.
I must admit though saying the word “joking” was also inappropriate and I should have used a different word to retract my statement.
