As I was saying we seem to be replicating last season. Keep hearing its Messlier, or fatigue or Farke's player selection. Take testerday. messlier saves a penalty and is doing okay. Then he drops a cross and they equalise. Evens then . Second goal not sure whether he was unsighted but even if not what were the rest of the defence doing? After the first 5 minutes Swansea were playing better than us - winning 50/ 50 balls and out muscling us. We stepped up from time to time but when we went 2-1 up they were all over us. Piroe patrolled his allotted area but didn't do much else but even so on another day his two shots on target could have gone in. D. James. Interesting how he splits opinion. Some people around me saying he was the man on the match and every time we got possession there shouts to give him the ball. On the other hand although he has pace and looks good on the ball (until the final and crucial bit) but his end product is usually nil. He does score and put in telling crosses from time to time but not nearly enough. he gets the opposite of Messlier. Messllier is crucial to Farke's way of playing in as much as his distribution is exactly what Farke wants. Darlow can't do it. He is a good shot stopper but makes mistakes from time time and don't we know about it. James on the other hand does very little for the most part in terms of end result but does something good from time to time and we never hear the end of it. Farke's team selection is being touted as the reason for our poor showing. It shouldn't have made that amount of difference given that Swansea were 16th in the division and our squad was, should have been, better overall. I still think third place is more than possible - probably due to temperament and response to pressure by too many of our players.

Dan James 2nd top scorer this season. 10 goals . highest assists 9
Last season 13 goals 2nd top scorer 8 assists.
30 Mar 2025 11:08:44
Yep " very little" Hess lol.

Totally agree Mes better with ball at his feet than Darlow, however, his distribution was down at 20% yesterday.
I don’t believe for a second Farke will drop Mess as he’s made his bed long ago, however, if we had either Trafford or Cooper we would be nine or ten points clear at the top just now.
Farke’s greatest test is can he afford not to drop Mess? Think it’s Aus who always says play Amps with Rodon and drop Struick?
Never a supporter of that view, but lately I get it, we are so deep in protecting our keeper and ponderous in our build up play that we have been found out, O’Brien had all the space and time in the world yesterday and every opposition manager will now be targeting Mess on corners free kicks from here on in.
Immense pressure for the young man, but nobody can say they’re confident he will cope, and be up to the task so begs the question why take the risk?
A little more direct, fine with me, especially if it eradicates such costly errors. 5 points from 15 isn’t it?

The point about James that he platters to deceive. Yes he has those stats but they should be so much better given the opportunities he has. goals and assists are shared because of our style of play. Piroe can score more but he has been given a job. Joseph has the same job. Do that job and score in that order. He / they patrol and cover an area if they score as well its a bonus as far as Farke is concerned.

Mess ( extremely apt name is Mess ( double ss ) )
alleged 'better with ball at feet 'means little to nowt when he can't do gk basics right.
Enough also of the myth that Mess is a "good shot stopper" fgs
. he evidently is NOT!
Known as "‐Hologram" for just reason is Mess
Mess known to Blades fans as " their BEST SIGNING" fgs!
30 Mar 2025 13:08:48
Hess
Dan James 40 goal contrubutions in 3 seasons is neither " flatters to deceive" or " very little". get a grip fella with your erroneous DJ agenda
DJ has outperformed Spuds loanee Solomon in goals and assisds for example. yet no mention ever from you of Solomon " flattering to deceive "
The issues with Leeds failing to get promotion are 1) Farkey's flaws 2) Farkey forever picking Mess and 3) the Board not getting a better keeper than Mess and no CAM recruitment also!

I'm not keen on James for the reasons he couldn't cope with the Premiership. You are not keen on Messlier for the same reasons as I am. However Farke knows that Messlier is necessary for his play out from the back style. Should we get a better keeper? Yes, If one is available. I've seen a lot of keeper making real howlers in the premiership this season who cost a lot of cash. Good keepers like good strikers are difficult to come by. Splashing the cash does not guarantee you'll get either. Our best striker, by the way, and by a country mile was Bamford in our first season back in the Premiership. Before and since not so good! The lack of an all round striker means the load has to be spread around among lesser mortals.
30 Mar 2025 13:27:35
How many times can you say you don’t like Meslier.
30 Mar 2025 13:32:21
* 2 seasons.
30 Mar 2025 14:20:25
No Hess
DJ was ok in EPL.5 goals 4 assists in a 17th team
DJ excellent in Champo
Mes awful in both EPL anc Champo
Far better gk than Mes cost little Cooper£2 million Johansaon £1 million.
30 Mar 2025 14:21:18
OP because Mess and Farkey cost us promotions ( plural)
30 Mar 2025 14:30:56
Both Mess and James polarise opinions. Until Mess made the mistake yesterday, he was the only player actually performing. Every other player was way off it. I genuinely don't know if it was as a result of too many changes to the starting 11 [shoe-horning Amps in was a mistake IMO], "international" fatigue, or more worryingly, they can't deal with the expectation / pressure.
I was concerned about the game, rather like when we played Cardiff after the covid restrictions were lifted. I expected us to lose in all honestly, but nevertheless was gutted how it ended.
I see James like some around here, see Mess. Capable of brilliance, but at the same time, are hapless at times. James and Mess yesterday were spitting images of each yesterday; some really good and some really bad. James, in all truth has zero composure at (most of) times and truly flatters to deceive. Look at the positions James got into yesterday and really messed them up, yet for whatever reason he doesn't get the same scrutiny as others.
All up; we were very poor yesterday, probably the worse we have played all season. I hope we can get our heads clear for the next game.

I think a bigger question here is “how many times will Baz answer to his own posts in a thread? ”, or “how many consecutive posts does Baz need to make to get his point across again? ”. We know you are the most frequent poster here, and we do eventually get the gist of your points, tho obviously we are slow to do so.
It’s a bit like Inspector Columbo tho; “Oh, just one more thing…. ”!
30 Mar 2025 16:03:54
Lurve Columbo (and Poirot)
As for the Farkeites and Mes lurvees. the penny still hasn't dropped . poor things.

Nice one Bright ?
Baz just loves reading his own posts.

Wouldn’t we all like another chance at something, when we cock things up? Just think back to last season’s debacle in the playoff final against Southampton. Wouldn’t you think the players and manager who have gotten themselves back into the position of redeeming themselves this season, would be thinking, right that’s not happening again this season. We bottled it last year, we won’t make that mistake again. Now I know we can still do it, we have the games left to play, but the players demeanour, spirit, lack of creativity and inspiration throughout the side is troubling and pointing us towards the dreaded playoff spot again. I do agree with comments about the defence being posted missing, same as QPR game. How many opposition central defenders score against us?
For me yesterday, the tone was set by Rodon early on, an experienced international defender, he goes careering into a Swansea player in the box, nowhere near the ball, giving away a penalty. Thankfully mes saves it. Instead of bustling his self forward in the box at countless corners he goes up for, and putting himself about in the box, and getting a goal or creating a chance for others. We should be getting more from him defensively and offensively . Pascal does get a few goals, and we did score from him getting the header in and their keeper parrying the ball out for Willy to lash it in. To me it’s all about desire. That will to win. Inspiration. Come on Leeds United show some fighting spirit. This passing the buck, and hiding isn’t good enough.
30 Mar 2025 22:41:28
Bright, Baz is like our team, loads of chances, plenty of shots, seldom on target, score occasionally!
I haven’t bothered with the site since Christmas, I haven’t read the 2000 (this week) posts from Baz, but then I didn’t need to; caught up in 20 minutes.
Gash, weak league, Farke, Sheff U always 2 points ahead, despite being behind, Raz and Schmidt, 49’s unambitious / 7 years. (You can have a month of Baz, I covered all your topics until the end of the season. )
31 Mar 2025 13:27:05
