When the chips are down for other teams, the fans bail. Bramall lane was empty, as was the stadium of light by the 80th minute.
Look at Elland road when we were down Vs Sunderland, or even drawing 1-1, the place was packed to the rafters with fans. Even against Leicester last year, it was chocka
To the old heads: when was the last time you saw Elland road empty out before the final whistle?

Not for me, it’s a passionate fan base but personally I question a lot of leeds fans and find a lot of them entitled when compared to say palace fans.

The obvious players that come to mind of course will be James, Tanaka, Solomon and Rodon but two players for me also have been instrumental to our success this season but don’t get mentioned a lot are Piroe and Firpo.
I think when it’s difficult to choose one particular player over any other it’s because the whole team has played with such intense unity that it’s not just one player but the entire squad that deserves the award.
This is where the true version of All Leeds Ar’nt We has it’s real meaning.
I’m not sure of late I could apply that to all the Leeds fans on this forum sadly.

Having sn opinion is fine, the stick and lack of support the board, mez and farke have had from some us not only misguided but outrageous in my opinion. I think that’s fair.

Most of the squad has contributed very well sure
And there have been 10 players who have had very good to excellent seasons.
However Player of Season has always been a one player award.

Great post MOT, not sure how many actually read it or wanted to respond without manipulating their responses, to fit their own predetermined agendas sadly.
I wonder how many of those that criticise attended as many games as our die hard fan base, I know I haven’t, but I’m always in awe of the level of commitment and support of our team especially in so many away games where Sly Sports have invariably moved the original kick off to another ridiculous day/ time.
And they certainly have paid and earned the right to vocalise their views and opinions, far more than many of us on here, who simply write our views and opinions.
But you are absolutely right MOT, we have the greatest support who can physically lift this team home and away and you are correct to propose they are that extra player when the team needs it most, and have certainly been the most consistent over many, many seasons now.
They make a massive difference to our team.

Leeds fans are passionate no doubt but being honest I don’t think they are near the best in the country. E r can be a fortress it can also be a poinsioned chalance.
Trouble with one city club is it becomes an echo chamber where all must follow the narrative or be shouted down. As a result e r can be amazing or awful depending on the current narrative.
As a Londoner I can be very proud of our fans like I was when we was in leauge one and our fans … true fans were amazing but at other times I do question the fan base in general.

ER AWAY fans are the best imo
ER HOME fans less so .2022/ 23 ER crowd wasnt . Leeds ER crowds better in 1960s and 1990s imo.

What baz said is kind of my point, leeds fans the best in 60s and 90s, that would suggest glory hunting fans and or fair weather fans. Personally I have never liked that.
The proudest I’ve ever been of leeds fans was in leauge one when we was rubbish but still brought more fans at home than juventus.
Anyone can support a good team but proper fans support a useless one.

Leauge one. This year is possibly the best since we won the leauge for me and I was 8 years old then.

I will admit when someone annoys me or upsets me I do go out of my way to provoke them into a punch up. It’s not something that I am proud of just the way I was raised.
