Inspired substitutions, you could see we were not going to break their defense in open play.
Well done Rothwell and Pascal. ??.

Yes indeed OP as Rothwell and Struiyk got the assists and goals but I do think Farke got a tad lucky as I think we could all see by half time that we were missing the magnificent delivery from set pieces of Rothwell and a central defender that could get on the end of Rothwell's pin point accurate crosses so those changes really should have happened at half time or certainly by the hour mark.
I think Farke has improved during this 15 game unbeaten run with a more positive approach which has been a pleasant surprise for me but I still worry about his stubborn 70 minute substitute policy that tonight paid off just and although I have doubted his EPL credentials I do like the guy as a human being and you would have to have ice in your veins not to be moved by the glorious celebrations at the end with Farke soaking up the Elland Road acclaim.
Well done Leeds on a really gritty win dug out from the bowels of defeat and turned into a breathtaking and momentous victory that just feels like it's our destiny to see the job through this time with no late season collapse.

Another excellent post Cheshire.

Why was Rothwell sub in such an important game?
Gruev is so negative and in no way as clever as Joe with ball .
Farke. clearly prefers Gruev.

On the contrary Cheshire, I believe it was his game plan. Sunderland were always going to be a tricky customer at Elland rd, they did everything right in the first half and I was beginning to feel, where was our goal coming from?
Second half you could see that we were relentless and were gradually wearing them down, their players by third quarter mark were beginning to tire and concentration was letting them down and they were giving away too many set pieces.
Earlier in the game they probably could have dealt with Rothwell’s accurate set pieces but by that stage of the game they were becoming more disorganized in defense. It was great timing to employ a set piece aerial attack and it worked to perfection, something we are not known for but Struijk does possess a decent aerial threat.
I thought Gruev was the better player to start this game in midfield, we needed his steely no nonsense tenacity play when they were fresh.
I honestly feel that Farke got this game bang on and was patient with his game plan and tactics.
You make your own luck in last minute match winning goals.
As a footnote it should be mentioned because I know it won’t, Ilan Meslier also had a very tidy game and a double save at the start of it that could have made a different outcome to the match had he not made it. His positioning was very good as well as his distribution. Well done him and well done our team and coach.
Onwards and Upwards.

Tend to agree with a lot of that OP
Didn’t look like getting anything from all those set pieces with Gruev delivering!
Really pleased Mes got to have a great celebration at the end!

18 Feb 2025 13:00:19
Well there’s no surprise in your response Baz, anything that goes against your entitled agenda is just pure luck.
Just about sums you up really.
18 Feb 2025 14:37:03
LUCK was definitely a large factor last night ; many others concur with that Chris, Corky etc
Them be the facts fella.
18 Feb 2025 17:14:28
Them not be facts tho, just because you deem them as such.
Them be “opinions”. And everyone can have them.
Your agenda led agreement doesn’t promote them to fact! ??.
