Missed the game yesterday but been told Schmitt played well. Saw the hi lights and he looked good. Any opinions from those who saw the game?

He was above average when most were poor. None played well yesterday even amps and tanaka were off form.

Schmidt, Rothwell and to a certain extent chambers showed some endeavour. The rest were average at best. Gman and matteo the worst. Very disappointing cork. You didn’t miss much.
Quite worrying how badly our supposed b team were. But 10 changes is going to hurt.

With 10 changes to your squad, you can’t expect too much. Resting key players for the away game on Tuesday against Watford has a bigger priority than a Cup competition that we are very unlikely to win.
Non of us wants to lose a game, especially at home against dirty Millwall, but the reality of a small squad with promotion in our vision takes precedence.

Bielsa was evidently proven wrong too ; it can all go pete tong very quickly with a small squad!
As a small squad and lots of chronic injuries in 2022 were a significant part in costing Bielsa his job at LUFC!

Bamford’s salary was halved on being relegated, like the others. Don’t think his salary alone is a drain on the finances of the club.
I don’t expect Bamford’s future at the club extending beyond this summer, his contract expires 06/ 26.
I doesn’t matter if the owners are rich or not, as Newcastle have found out, you can not exceed Profit and Sustainability Rules. Fans can scream at their owners to spend more and more money but the reality with these rules has changed the concept of buying and selling players.
Fans will just have to accept it, it’s not going to change!
The owners of successful football clubs are mostly very accomplished and extremely affluent people, I think being wiser with their money is something they already are.

OP, no-one was wanting 49ers to splash the cash in an irresponsible way, just bring in a decent signing at 9/ 10 and perhaps CB to at least guard against potential injury problems. After our summer sales, our P&S position was apparently healthy enough to have allowed such judicious additions.

What you are saying is then Clu, to bring a player in to sit on the bench for the rest of the season with no guarantee of starting any games at all. With our current squad it would be very difficult to do that apart from a top quality number 9.
It’s very likely that there isn’t a Premiership ready striker of decent quality who may or may not be guaranteed starts over Piroe for less than 20/ 30Mil in the January transfer market.
Plus that striker who would be in top flight football league would probably not want to go to play second tier football.
Blades bought Tom Canon, would you want his quality at our club in the Premiership?
I think if you look over all these factors it might be reasonable to understand the reasons why no players came to the club in January .
We need quality players coming to our club, if we win promotion we will certainly be in the market for quality additions, not used up journeymen on a five months contract.
The old line of, “the owners don’t want to spend because they want to line their pockets with more moolah" is nonsense. To take care of any business you have to take care of its finances for it to be successful and Leeds United like most clubs today are a business first and foremost.

Another thing, those players that the club would have wasted their money on buying all these so called bench warmers, very likely wouldn’t even make the bench with the quality we already possess in reserve.
