Thoughts on FA cup?
Should we throw in the B team to safeguard from injury - Millwall are a physical team, or should we aim for the win?
Does the next round of the FA cup have a financial incentive to reach?

Mixed thoughts. We have no chance of winning the cup so put out a 2nd string team. But if we did and we lost that could affect the positive vibes and in turn could affect the fine form we're in.
Does it go to penalties if all square at ft? Last thing we need is a replay.

Farke confirmed in his presser he doesn’t like changing more than 3/ 4 players for the next game but hinted that he would change more than normal for this fa cup game.

Don’t play any 1st team players and injures now could cost us’.

Smash Millwall. play G Man, Darlow, Wober, Schmidt, Gnonto, MJ etc.

B team all day long, give the youngs ones some game time and don’t risk our main players.

He’s damned whatever he does, and what ever the outcome, and it’s likely that he knows it. Farke is the one with the tricky decisions to make, and I will support whichever way that falls. Pros and cons all round with this one unfortunately.

I think it will be starting with most of the subs bench and some of the recent starting 11. There aren’t really any obvious young ones (that aren’t already in the team) to put in, particularly with Joffy and Crew on loan.
Baz’s change list I think are the likely starting changes.

Farke will rotate some players i'm sure, but he’ll definitely want to win this game. Losing to Millwall at home where we have made it a fortress will be somewhat damaging for morale.

We have a strong squad so play the lads not starting.
Likes of Rama Gnonto Joseph Gman Gruev Pascal Darlow Smit.

Can see all the points as made OP and Bright can’t see us winning it and the big deal is going up so say let’s it go fight next season .

Think we will win whoever we play. Can’t see wall thinking they can win so may rest some players too. No point them playing first team. They lose either way.
Think we will start darlow struik gnonto roth large and Joseph.

Darlow
Byram
Schmidt
Wober
Struijk
Gruev
Guilavoglui
Gnonto
Ramazzani
Joseph
And one of the under 21s
Don't risk your starting XI in this match. We simply don't have the resources if we pick up one or two injuries!

No byram or gman or Schmidt for me Bri.
07 Feb 2025 12:14:47
Schmidt is apparently out of favour for some reason hope he plays but not sure he will.

I would pick that team as well Cleggy. More than capable of winning and we will have plenty of back up on the bench. But if Farke picks a stronger side, I am ok with that too.

Even if we lose, I don't think Farke will get much, if any, stick.
I can see the response been: "it's the cup, a distraction, focus on the league" and so it should be.
As fun as it sounds, it would be a nightmare to be facing round after round of the FA cup, against better and better teams, all while avoiding injury. At some point, we need to throw the towel in.
