Very very happy with that result. Was concerned about that game.
Followed text on 90 minutes.
Looking forward to match reports from those that saw the game.
From what I can see stat wise dominated first half. More even second half. Seem to be a bit wasteful.
Bogle a rebel with a cause by recent form.
Mez makes two saves and pretended to be a proper goalkeeper. Kidding lol. Let's hope that does his confidence good and his performances improve rest of season.

Oh and I think our recent performances have shown a level of maturity, professionalism and confidence. We are playing as we expect to win every game.

06 Feb 2025 07:19:40
Oh come on what has the man got to do. 6 yes 6 clean sheet and you keep sing the same old? is there nothing better down under?.

06 Feb 2025 07:29:34
Personally, I think Bogle’s form is much more than just recent. He has been consistently very good for about 15 games roughly. Rocky start, as is often the case, but as I said last night, he is proving to be almost as much value for money as Ao. A very, very good purchase!

Really important game, performance and result! Loads of chances created but not taken, which is still our Achilles heel and could cost us points! Two pretty decent Meslier saves which could have gone in and been 2-2 which would have been a travesty! For a 2-0 result, I was still shouting at the tv like a madman until the final whistle! Didn’t feel as easy as the stats looked, needed a third goal. Penalty denied and goal probably wrongly disallowed, could have made that a problem!

Bogle was great last night and been another great addition since finding his feet. A steal for what we paid and weakened our rivals.

Credit must go to farke, what a manager he has the team playing well, he brought players like gnoto in from the cold, got players playing above there level and dealt with two awful summers in terms of stability

Life is good at er at the moment and long may it continue.

Bright agreed 100% rocky start but beaded in nicely.

06 Feb 2025 08:00:56
Aus is Mez included in that statement showing (a level of maturity with confidence ) . ?.

06 Feb 2025 08:30:36
Whiteman. I purposely didn’t put it in my original statement as looking for positives.
However.
In the brief 9 minute highlights I watched. Mez made two good saves. Especially the first one. But he also dithered on his line at two crosses that coulda cost us. And that was in 9 minutes.
So. No. You can leave him out of the maturity statement.

I saw the whole game and In my opinion that is straw clutching Aus. It’s obvious you don’t rate Meslier and prefer him out of the club and that’s fair enough.
But he had a good game last night and probably saved us two points, I think he at least deserves the plaudits for this particular performance. Otherwise it does look like a bit sour grapes that a player of our team you don’t like did have a good game and goes against your opinion of him.
None of us are experts in football on here, especially on our own club.

It’s just ridiculous applauding a goalkeeper for making 3 saves in 6 weeks who has previously cost us numerous points. Whatever you are on opti. It can’t be legal.
Even berm said he needed dropping after hull. One game dosent make a picnic. You are making a fool of yourself purely to try and score points after a semi decent game.

06 Feb 2025 12:50:02
OP I fully agree seem there is no pleasing some no matter what he dose, when and if he leave and he becomes top in his game we will wish he was still at Leeds . Aus just hope your right because I will let you know about it ?.

06 Feb 2025 15:29:15
None of the coaches we’ve had since Meslier arrived have actively sought for his departure. I think that in itself speaks volumes.

06 Feb 2025 17:40:21
Aus bud, that 12.22 post is well wide of the mark. Particularly the data point for the last 6 weeks! To then go on at OP in that way, just throws weight into its total lack of cred as a post I’m afraid. In the same way Mes has taken a shed load of abuse, he does deserve credit for his performance last night, plus subsequent games from the last gaff!

06 Feb 2025 19:33:43
Not trying to score points fella, I leave that game for Baz, it’s my opinion on the subject and I’ll keep giving counter arguments for every negative one made against Meslier.
I only feel like that because I really believe the amount of flak he receives is out of balance with his performances.
Another point that Farke has mentioned, due to our dominance in most games, Meslier stands as a lonely figure but on the one or two attacks that do breach the defense, he has to bounce into sudden action.
That might be difficult for some to understand but when you are inactive for long periods for a goalkeeper it doesn’t make it easy for him.

Bright 100% agree mate.
