Baz - more likely asleep - and certainly figuratively, contrary to Farke’s countless insistences that the Club wouldn’t be.

Yes, our game day squad when all or most are fit may still be better on paper than those of promotion rivals, but a total of only 23 (20 outfield) in our first team squad it only takes a few more injuries for our bench to be populated with largely untried academy players. Burnley, Blades and Sunderland with 30, 29 and 28 in their squads respectively following their window reinforcements are far better covered for injuries, with most of their ‘back-up’ options already blooded in the Champ or at least in first team football elsewhere - whereas we loaned out Joffy without replacing him with another player with decent level first team experience, left Greenwood out on loan and sold Perkins who played twice in the Europa League for the Hammers.

Farke kept on saying we needed any additions to improve our squad, but seemed to be inferring that they needed them to be better than some of those already in the squad. Angus’ favourite point when referring to incoming transfers is that sometimes fans might be content merely to see ‘warm bodies’ come in. In actuality we’d likely be far more content to see a couple of players with decent first team experience added to the squad in the areas in which we are lightest. Across all of Europe there must be many decent players who’d have jumped at the opportunity to come to Leeds, with the enhanced prospect (through their addition to the squad) of Prem football next season.

Brilliant post of season so far Clu??✊️?

For me the club's hierachy have ( potentially seriously) blundered and been negligent yet again this Jan window (just as they were last Jan 2024) .

The squad sizes differentials are concerning and considerable 30, 29, 28 respectively. to our meagre 23!

And the 2 points gap is sooo tight, it should have been 10 points which was another reason we should have strenghtened in Jan

Concerned.

Could be an awful lot of eggs on faces of Leeds posters come May.

So here we are again with this risky Russian Roulette strategy that has failed us in the past. We know our squad is good enough to challenge for an automatic spot as it is, but a couple of injuries to key personnel could be our undoing. My message to AK and Co is this: Failure again to achieve promotion this season and there will be a very frustrated and annoyed fanbase who will want answers as to why you have sat on your thumbs again.

I guess some are very concerned but that’s probably likely because they are comparing this season to last season.
I think if you look at the confidence within the squad, the experience and quality of the players we have now, it is very different from last season. We also have enough back up in all positions as the players we have are adaptable.
Fans who demand a walk in the park scenario, it ain’t going to happen, the Championship league is always tough, there’s never a weak season.

This will go down to the wire with Blades, Burnley and Sunderland but i'm feeling very confident that we do have what it takes to win this league.

Baz, this is the day that you said you are going to give us your new prediction of where Leeds will finish at the end of this season. I imagine, judging by your very morose posts that you will be likely to change your Champions finish to something lower, now that there were no new transfers coming in.?

22nd January
Baz prediction 4th place
Last one I believe!

04 Feb 2025 12:38:42
Not sure OP again how you can logically be " very confident " of finishing Champions. With as you say 'it will go to the wire' . ?

As for moi, I will stick with my "Leeds finishing Champions 1st place" prediction OP. but less confident of it now. it will definitely be much closer fewer points now between Leeds and then 2nd Sheff Utd, 3rd Burnley and 4th Sunderland in that final league place order. than it frigging should have been!

04 Feb 2025 14:00:57
No DDSW. Isaid it would not surprlse me if we now finished 4th re Jan window of top 4

Window now closed I will stick with Leeds 1st. But its gonner be much much closer than it should have been.

04 Feb 2025 17:38:32
Most negative poster on here has us down as champs? How can you be so negative yet still
Back us as champs?

Honest question do you have contestant screaming noise in your head?

04 Feb 2025 18:18:33
It’s very easy Baz, we can finish Champions just not by your massive unrealistic margins. Once again, it is possible to be very confident to win this league all be it by a perhaps smaller margin.
Your romping leagues is for the fantasists.
Even cheating Leicester had their huge 17 point lead pulled back to zero by us.

I suspect you will change that prediction of us winning the league if or when we lose a game.
But we already know that.

04 Feb 2025 17:53:47
You’re so full of bull Baz!
No mention of top 4 teams just
If we get no one in it would not surprise me At All
If we finish 4th
So that is not a prediction unless it happens (god forbid) in which case it would be! ?.

04 Feb 2025 18:53:52
Im going with the lean and mean which keeps them keen. For me it’s a good strategy and it’s got us to where we are now.
Top of the League.
