We got Thorpe arch, elland rd, M1, m6 and M62 and the airport covered?
I'm not going to bed yet.

Good luck with that Aus. Perhaps winning a game 7-0 is not the best strategy in the final game before the window closes! The play, the goals, the celebrations, all show how difficult it is to add to that in a way that improves the bench, never mind the starting lineup! I’ve watched the game again and we could easily have won it 10 nil!
One achievement this window is not to lose any of our existing players, as some of them could definitely have been a possibility for a desperate or worried premier league club.
I think we could be building something special, as Farke says, it is still a work in progress and we are still missing certain ingredients. If we could find even one of them today then brill!
I’d love to see us really sort out Coventry on weds. That would answer a few more questions and show we can build on Saturday in more difficult situations.
For me, the club is in a better position than we were under Bielsa, not his fault, but the underlying structures have improved and I think we have a stronger squad. We still have to take a big step up but again for me that feels more likely to happen this time around.
I was 10 when we last won 7-0. Watching it on match of the day, I think. A sort of nice connection back to the Leeds we all want to be part of and see again. My only regret is that I wasn’t there on Saturday! Would have been a bit more special than watching the first two goals on a mobile under the table in a restaurant, but at least I got home in time for the next 5.
If anyone hasn’t watched the Cardiff kid fan on you tube, it’s well worth a watch. Good Pr for leeds and the square ball as well!
Have a good day everyone!

Top post Spanish, completely agree.
03 Feb 2025 09:29:37
I agree. It was enjoyable. But one game. If you are telling me we can’t get better than Joseph in this window I disagree.
There are improvements to make.
Very enjoyable weekend but that’s the past now. So is Bielsa. And Farke would need to win prem to get that feeling back for the fans and city.
As archer seems to get. We are a better proposition than the bottom 4 prem teams so no reason we can’t get quality in. If it’s available.
They maybe smart or foolhardy. We shall see.
03 Feb 2025 11:35:29
Don’t think anyone would disagree we can’t get better than Joseph in, he will probably never be good enough for prem and we need to aim higher.
My question is to we stick or twist? Stick with Joseph who has done a job for us this season or twist on a striker who while he may be an improvement might not be good enough for prem either? Maybe best to spend that money when in prem rather than trying to get there.
No doubt about it the players ipswich brought in last jan were great and did the job getting them over the line but they done nothing in the prem.
Personally I’d keep the faith rather than bring img in players who will probably be deadwood next season (like archer)
That said I trust farke and 49ners, they have not put a foot wrong so far so my trust in them outwieghs my own personal opinions… I put my faith in a higher power.
03 Feb 2025 12:00:05
Good competition if Archer comes in but I’d still like to see Joseph kick on after Saturday. His goal celebration and the reaction of his teammates really touched me. He’s only going to learn from all around him this year and better to do that learning in the championship.
03 Feb 2025 12:44:00
Good post bermo.
Why the negativity around Archer? I see him as a Joseph upgrade. We owe Joseph nothing. It’s not like Dallas or somebody who has contributed. He had his chance and blew it.
I also feel that thus far the powers have got some great talent in. And I’m impressed.
But. Rest on your laurels and feel smug and proud of your business so far. Mmmmmm?
03 Feb 2025 13:26:22
I agree we don’t owe Joshep anything but team spirit is always at risk every time you bring a player in, if we get a striker in the wiriting is on the wall for Joseph which is fine but we need to make sure we get it right.
I quite like archer and agree he is an upgrade but he’s done nothing in the prem … so do we want him when next year hopefully he won’t be needed.
If the right player is out there I agree 100% with everything you are saying but I’m not sure the right player is out there. So I’d rather stick than twist … guess we will know is a few hours.

Good post, Spanish. It was nice to see them run over and hug him. It was like the whole team felt his relief for getting a goal. Farke even showed some animation.
Gutted for Largie as well, he should have scored.
Aus, don't be like that. If they've got the Leeds shirt on, then ALAW? Sometimes tough love is needed, like Mes, other times, praise and patience like Joseph.
03 Feb 2025 14:56:33
Good job you didn't get your 1st and 2nd posts muddled Spanish or they would have ended up with you touching yourself under the table in a restaurant!
Although I'm sure we've all been there.
03 Feb 2025 15:34:42
Come on alf like I’ve ever been in a restaurant? Burger King maybe.
03 Feb 2025 15:41:08
Nowt happening today it seems in transfer window for LUFC!
No signings in this window is very risky imo!
Any injuries to Rodon, Struick, Ampadu, Piroe etc and well.
03 Feb 2025 16:24:21
We adapt, Baz.
Tanaka drops to defence or an lb/ RB does and we add in Schmidt.
Piroe goes injured we have Joseph, Gnonto and ramazani to cover.
03 Feb 2025 16:46:46
Centre back issue MOTsgaun. say Rodon and Struick both gey injured.
Amps and a big problem! . Wober always injured.
03 Feb 2025 18:01:20
What if the whole team get injured? You can’t cover for every chance in a million.
03 Feb 2025 18:24:50
Suppose they don't Baz, why worry about something that may never happen? We have contended very well while having important players out injured already this season.
03 Feb 2025 18:37:37
No more excuses OP ?
Bringing in on loan even just ONE player . a CB . would have been sensible and wise.
We are definitely short of one player in CB squad strength. you know it. we all do if honest.
So fingers crossed no injuries . but why leave things to luck? ??.
03 Feb 2025 18:38:59
If baz thinks it’s risky I’m happy… so far he has been so wide of the mark he might as well be commenting on leeds rinhos
Baz the orical who slated the siging of solomon and don’t rate farke… I’m not going to lose any sleep.
03 Feb 2025 19:23:26
Err Berma
Yet I made these comments last Jan window 2024
1) Leeds woukd likely regret not strengthening in Jan window
2) Ipswich had not gone
I was proved CORRECT on BOTH!
03 Feb 2025 19:26:36
And re Solomon . it was re his bad injury record not his good ability
And
as Cork corrected you on here yesterday:
" Farke has NOT achieved anything yet "
03 Feb 2025 19:58:09
Well Baz, depends on your view of "achieve". As pochettino said of the Great Marcelo, his trophies lie in the effect he has on the hearts and minds of the people he comes into contact with not in silverware. Look at DFs stats, look at the unity of the players, the club, the atmosphere when we play, the confidence. That is down to his management and philosophy. If you wanna be an instant success trophy hunter that is your right, but it is an extremely elusive beast. Success is only delightful because of the pain of failure. Ying and yang, one beats the other. When we are crowned champions DF will be on the same trajectory as MB.
03 Feb 2025 20:34:56
MJ over the last 2 years has played in 51 games and scored 4 goals, he is still young but this is why we needed another striker, we have sold and loaned players with better stats, I really really hope he goes on and proves me wrong but he doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.
04 Feb 2025 12:53:10
No response Berma on my points Berma. hmmm. not much you could say.
