Kelechi Iheanacho and tresor really, sounds like clickbait to me.
24 Jan 2025 12:51:36
Entirely agree, and not sure I'd want them anyway.
Farke has said he wants a no. 10, a striker and a defender. As already mentioned, we often seem to leave it late.
We don't have a problem scoring goals, it's just we squander too many chances. Not sure who DF has in mind.
Buendia would be good but will he step down?
Defender. If Pascal's hamstring is minor and Wober's knee can be nursed through maybe Ben Davies or Svenson would be an alternative. He is a leftie and has played in several positions.
Money might be available if Eintract decide to keep Kristienson. He's having a good season and they're awash with cash.
One who is going to move is Whittaker. They valued him at £15m last year but seems the Pilgrims will accept 6 now. Middlesbrough and Burnley in the hunt.
Gooderham talk seems to have disappeared.

Every single report you read of a potential transfer is clickbait.
If there is an incoming no one will know until the deal is done.
24 Jan 2025 14:31:15
Actually wayyy before any deals were done reports of Leeds intent to sign players such as
Piroe
Kamara
Tanaka
Darlow
Rothwell etc
Proved to be 100% spot on.

Shea Charles gone back to the Owls on loan rather than the Blades. Thought he had a good game at Elland Road. Cleared up a lot of mess.
24 Jan 2025 17:19:42
Agree Dunelm, thought he was their best player pleased if he’s not going to the blunts.
24 Jan 2025 18:22:55
Cannon has signed for the Blunts from Leicester. He looks a decent player.

Reading between the lines I think Farke is hoping nobody else of interest comes in for Buendia in which case he may reconsider his options and come to us on loan. Risky strategy but it may pay off.
24 Jan 2025 19:58:55
Risky strategies Cuppa usually end in tears!
Unwise.
24 Jan 2025 20:58:35
You have to believe that there is some strategy in place even if it's much later than our major rivals who have already added to their ranks.
However, you must wonder whether Farke's very specific comments about what three players he needs is a bit of a dig at the owners/ recruitment team.

It’s not about getting any player in within this transfer window, panic buying never works.
Of all the players we have been linked with there’s perhaps only one that might fit the bill in my opinion.
That being Buendia but, and there is a big but, will he be fit enough after his long injury?
The Beundia before his injury I feel would definitely be an improvement on Aaronson.
It is a big call all the same as to whether he would want to come to a Championship team, I’m sure there are a number of big clubs on the continent that he may prefer to go to.
I personally feel that it’s unlikely he will come to us and as for the rest that have been mentioned, they are not better than what we’ve got already or completely unrealistic so you can either keep them or forget them.
25 Jan 2025 06:47:40
Great points OP.
25 Jan 2025 08:53:11
Buendia would be a step up but, as pointed out, would want to step down a division?
My concern is that although the squad is probably as good as anyone in the division a couple of injuries can soon change that. The wingers could probably cover the no.10 and striker roles but it's not ideal. A couple of injuries or suspensions at CB or FB could be a serious problem and taking Amps out of midfield is an option but I prefer him in midfield.
25 Jan 2025 10:09:31
Convincing a potential loan player to take the bench until an injury occurs to another player is unlikely.

Not easy and not particularly desirable with an established centre back pairing but easier with full backs. Rotate them particularly during a game. The way we play we need the full backs to put in a big shift and if they only have to do it for 45/ 55 minutes then we'll be even more dangerous going forward.
