This might seem quite harsh on Farke but. I don't really feel a sense of connection to him at Leeds, granted we've 'statistically' done fairly well under him but guess what? Didn't deliver.

I loved Bielsa but Farke seems to have the very worst of Bielsa's traits, rigidness or stubbornness. The thing is, a Bielsa stubbornness to Plan A has you playing incredibly entertaining (even in defeat) and for three-and-a-half years football that delivered the results too. It ran out because the recruitment generally failed that last Bielsa season though he takes some responsibility as he would have sanctioned the moves even if Orta organised did them.

A Farke stubbornness is one where the football is quite inconsistent and quite frankly at times boring especially away from home. Lacking ideas etc. Would we have liked a 10 to come in in the summer? Yes absolutely. Does Farke irrespective of the failure to bring in a 10 still have the best squad in the league and therefore must get us up? Yes. Even if he did such is his lack of success in the prem, the inconsistency he's shown in delivering thus far means I would think about replacing him.

Loyalty to BA (far from the only scapegoat he tries and just doesn't have ideas) , refusal to make subs before 70 mins when it isn't working. If we don't get an early goal or a decent amount of help from the opposition (a la Watford, Luton and Plymouth) we actually struggle.

I'd be thinking about making the move right now, go and get Steve Cooper or Graham Potter. Cooper in particular I think was harshly treated, and I've never seen the guy fail even in tough circumstances. 'Better' managers than him have struggled to gel 25 signings in one window like he did at Forest.

As ever with these things I hope I'm wrong but we should have pulled away somewhat by now. And we haven't. Middlesbrough game will tell a lot especially to compare against our League Cup hiding. If we lose that I'd have no confidence in an auto promotion guarantee.

Ealing Good post but there's a more effective solution. Just get a 10 without firing the manager. Farke style of play relies on a number 10. Without it, an average team can set up a low block and defeat us one nil. Without it, a team equal or better than us can defeat us by a bigger margin. We could also do with a CF but decent CAM will do for now.

Fair post Ealing
This deja vu performance and result makes one again question (and doubt ) whether Farke is gonner actually get this club over the promotion line ?

P. S
if he is lurking brace yerself to expect a response from Berma and the other Farkeites.

Spot on Ealing. 100%.
I’m not happy today.
Paid $15 for that crap.
Clueless German manager.

Holy babery Jebus! I agree with George. The difference a real 10 would make is immeasurable. BA puts all the effort in valiantly, but he does not have the cutting edge and vision. Our team would be transformed with the right investment in that one position.

i totally agree on the need for a 10. I think my point is though that although the squad could do with a 10, this on paper except for one or two positions this is the best squad in the league and Farke is making very hard work of it so far, and if he can't make this team into a promotion winning side then he has zero hope of getting us up. A Jan loan move for Buendia might work. He wasn't keen in the summer, understandably wanted to fight for his place after inj, but its clear he's not really first or even second choice (barkley) so with his lack of game time he might reconsider.
