I have said it for some time we have almost the squad to win automatic promotion. But its the 'almost' that is the problem. We are missing Bamford (or similar) at his best. For one season only he ran the line and his hold up play was excellent and he was scoring. I was a big critic because he was awful, and now is again, in front of goal. we have a good squad - the fact that we can replace Ampadu, Gruelav and largie and still tick over very well and win games, is proof of that. The problem comes when a half way decent team is well organised and can sit deep we are likely to lose or certainly not win. we saw at Southampton last season, against Burnley and against Millwall. It will keep happening until our conversion rate improves. We a decent striker we wouldn't have lost any of the games i mentioned. We were the better 'footballing' side on each occasion - even playing below par - but we created a few chances but didn't look like scoring. Those teams had one chance and beat us. I can see us finishing in the top six and the losing in the play offs again because we will have to play a half decent team well organised at the back and we won't score or score enough. We need goal scorer at least as good as Piroe but unlike him be able able to run the line like Bamford did. Just to be clear Piroe does nothing else but he is more likely to if given the chance than his colleagues. But it's not enough to keep him in the team except as a substitute late on. Joseph has potential but is not there yet.

Leeds are definitely missing Largie big time
No goals in 80 plus mins against Watford when he went off
Then no goals against Bristol City or Millwall
Nearly 5 hours of football in those matches without scoring!
. (as for Plymouth . my late gran would score against dem)

I just finished listening to DF press conference. Clueless is an understatement! Please 49ers if we lose (hope we smash them) to QPR tomorrow Fire this Donut!

For who Hooksie? Exactly who? And how long will he be given, before you, Baz et al start screaming for his head too. Let’s not forget who forced the clubs hand on Marcelo; fickle fans. All of you promoting instability, lacking patience, failing to see a bigger picture, or having the patience to support a longer term plan for success have contributed to holding the club back, by depriving us of the stability that would make success more likely.
