Anyone know where the Leeds Milwall rivalry comes from? I'm guessing the hooligan element from back in thr day?
Anyhow Bermondsey is a shite hole although not as bad as it used to be but still it's still full of wannabe gangsters. No offense Bermo.

Interesting post Corky.

Wee little Millwall definitely didn't even exist for Leeds United supporters in 1960s, 1970s .

. pretty sure we didn't play them in 1980s either .

definitely not in 1990s either

Pretty sure Leeds vs Millwall first ever meeting wasn't until 2005

Rivalry? Not really . perhaps only

1) North South divide

2) Leeds fans are hard Millwall fans just think they are hard

3) Leeds United is a great club . Millwall is tinpot

LUFC lives in Millwall fans heads!

Baz Wrong for a change on dates. I remember playing them in late 1980s at home and losing 2-1 with a fine 25 yard volley from Terry Hurlock. I was sadly at the game. I'll see if I can research a date.

Yep George correct we did indeed play Millwall in the later 1980s; further proof they certainly are a forgettable club lol

Leeds vs Chelsea is THE BIG rivalry for me.

July bombings 2005 were carried out by some lads. One of the lads was from the same town as Elland road. Millwall fans died on the bus/ tube, they blame Leeds.

That's what I got told back in the day when Millwall came to smash the town up.

9 November 1985 first meeting we were restricted with our support needing red card i'd to get tickets I was there at the Den Leeds fans got a 3 match away ban after the missile throwing down there but that that didn't work either as thousands turned up next away game at Carlisle and had to be let in by police so ban got lifted.

None taken mate, sadly bermondsey Is no longer a dive, it’s really posh where most places hand back change on a silver plate, which annoys me

Bermondsey is more Harrogate than leeds city centre which for me is a very bad thing.

If Bermondesey is now really posh that means all the Wall fans have moved out.
