Anybody old enough to miss the bbc teleprinter at full time. You could tell whether it was home win, draw or away win by the tone of his voice. Used to wait avidly for Leeds result. Always seemed to be one of the last.

We were always one of the last on Soccer Saturday. I remember all the results were in and we were 2 - 1 up at Hartlepool, and when Stelling said, "goal at Hartlepool" it was obvious they had equalised!

it was definitely called teleprinter.
. and sometimes it got stuck/ delayed in completing the away teams score.

It did baz. Funny. Imagine supporting the team it got jammed on lol.
Although the pitch of his voice gave it away. Or should I say more like the tune of his voice ?.

Looked it up. Teleprinter was very old so before my time but in the 1980s it became the videprinter which was an updated version.

Does it matter what it was? It was Saturday. .
And going by age I’d say most important in my life between 1974 and 1979.
