A lot of talk from fans and media about the 49er’s coming up short in the summer transfer window.
I don’t know how anyone can make a judgment on that until the end of the season to see whether we are promoted or not.
From a business aspect and a recruitment one, it could be a spectacular sensation?
Certainly we will be in a very healthy financial situation, you would assume with PSR looming over every club.
I will say also that the Premier League officials will be looking to smash any club now after being left with egg in their faces by Leicester, you can see that one coming.
On another note I hope Gnonto’s injury last night with the Italian U21’s isn’t serious.

Not sure about that post opt.
All over the place.
Think bid on Hamer was disgraceful. Either stupidity or stupidity.
Think your point re epl looking to punish is your paranoia. Think they have been out lawyered and need to re write the rules.

Rather than the EPL ( unprofessionally and vindictively ) looking to smash a club because of egg on face re Leicester
Maybe the EPL should focus on eradicating loopholes within its rules.
Also is it just me but the amount of points penalty a club receives seems so arbitrary / undefined.

OP. well last seasons windows Summer 2023 and particularly Jan 2024 showed that SF49ers recruitment came up short!
Both Ipswich AND Southampton cleverly recruited some excellent players in Jan and that was the difference in them getting promoted.
Jan 2025 window is gonner be very IMPORTANT to hopefully get over promotion line this time for LUFC.

Aus, Burnley’s transfer window was all over the place if you want to compare.
Blades wanted too much for Hamer a Champo player, paying more than what a player is worth is not good business.
Its pretty clear to me that Leeds Utd’s valuation of Hamer was not the same.
Looks like you possibly under rate Joseph also, it is also possible that we may go back in for him in January?
Of course the EPL are at fault for leaving a loophole, but they are not going to admit that and they will be stamping down on any clubs who want to abuse the rules thinking the EPL have lost control with loopholes everywhere by dealing out heavier penalties than before. There appears to be no guidance as to how points are dealt out either.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the EPL will be scrutinizing Leicesters future accounts with a lot of interest and venom.

OP I gave a good rating for the window. Thought the 49ers did well. Compliments to the recruiting team.

Well I’m glad about that George, it may well be that the players we have brought in are an upgrade to the ones that have departed, bar Rutter.
Time will tell but I won’t be surprised if Solomon, Ramazani and Bogle are thé players that we needed last season to secure promotion.
If Farke gets this right we should be leading the pack before Christmas if not well before.

OP Haven't been impressed by Jayden thus far but no doubt he'll improve as season wears on.
As a side note, I've noticed a slight difference in style of play which I believe would suit Joffy if he got minutes.

I genuinely think that the squad is better overall. We have decent options off the bench now. We were overrelaint on two extremely good players last season and now the burden is spread across more players, so also a plus, for me.
How things unravelled is another story, but I'm pretty optimistic about things this season now. Whereas a few weeks ago I thought we were in the mud. Funny old game that can change at the drop of a hat.

Few things
Ffp is real when it comes to leeds
Also we got enough points to go up last year, the season was an abnormality
We spent was wasted 450-500 to get relegated
49ners are rich leeds ain’t
We built a decent squad
Either way we are leeds do support the team or go down the road and cheer in pep.

Where are all the predictions?
06 Sep 2024 23:05:43
I think personally the best acquisition we made in this window was Solomon, he looks and plays like a beast. Exactly the ingredient we need to get out of this damned league. Hope he can stay fit long enough.

I thought that too OP, immediately that we signed him. He looks strong and fit too after a lengthy lay off.
07 Sep 2024 08:33:19
I predict a riot if that helps?
07 Sep 2024 09:25:06
He looked lively that first game. Gave Coyle a load of problems, where he resorted to trying to foul him for the most part. He stays fit and we've got a gem for this league.

I heard Niel Redfearn say that he is way too good for the Championship and even in his first game for us against Hull, it looked like their defenders were trying to tackle smoke. He’s strong and skillful and a player that leads by example and I’m sure that’s going to rub off on the other players.
As I’ve already mentioned, the main concern is that he stays fit, if he does then he will be the main reason that we get promoted this season, in my opinion.
