Not happy about it but no point crying over spilt milk. He did run dry last part of season and is a one trick pony. Be interesting how he fares in prem.

We have added some talent thus far but still need 4 more. If gnonto goes 5 more.
Lubi, Clarke and Rowe plus a handy striker. Wober can cover firpo.
That's a big rebuild.
We could eventually have about 4-5 new starters which will take time to bed in.
It also looks like we are possibly going diff formation too.
The next week is huge re incomings. Was hoping to pretty much start with our best 11 v Valencia but that ain't happening.

What I do believe there is absolutely NO ONE on here who would feel confifent enough to genuinely put a ( very) LARGE bet on Leeds United being top 2 as things stand .

Summerville was out the door two months ago. He's dragged his feet, as have the clubs.
Don't expect the A team at Valencia. Our greatest strength lies with our opponents underestimating us.
Luckily we're Leeds and they always underestimate us.
Based on nothing but pure optimism, I think we have a ringer or two lined up.

For myself, £74 million for two players who cost £1.5 million is smart business. Loved Cree but teams worked out his only trick was to cut back inside and there was an argument he could have been dropped at times. On run in last year and largely anonymous in playoffs.
Its great having exceptional players who the whole team are prepared to get the best out off. Problem is when you nullify that specific threat the others aren’t of a level to step up.
Archie sentiment aside is no Bellingham he’s a cracking lad but more James Milner than anything else and I expect him to have a fabulous career. But Archie was a necessary PSR sale (I believe)
Dewsbury Hall in my opinion was far and away best player in championship last year went for £30mlion so we’ve done fine.
If we had said no to Cree I believe the petulant individual we have seen previously would have returned and bottom line if someone is negotiating terms they no longer want the shirt, that’s fine thanks for the memories and the profit, wish them well.
It’s how we spend the money matters more and who we get in don’t think BA is the answer there, I like Rowe but it could easily be someone we’ve never considered before.
I had a £100 bet on Leeds to finish Champions this morning Baz, no odds just the usual thing of my Citeh supporting mate winding me up, honestly don’t see us being so much worse off we’ve made a huge amount of profit in sales Bogle looks a fantastic buy, and let’s see who we get in for Cree.

Baz, I don't bet so I wouldn't put money on either way. Nevertheless even with the loss of Gray and [it appears] Summerville, I am far more optimistic this time than I was last season. Rodon in is a big plus, and we know we are getting unlike when he first arrived. Bogle looks a good deal; Rothwell looks good. Aaronson will be a good addition to a championship side, as will Wober.
Cre was found out in the latter part of the season; his one trick often nullified by doubling up on him. Of the four, James, Cre, Geo and Gnonto, Cre leaving was the least of an issue for me. I would change my level of optimism if we lose any of the other three though.
I hate the transfer window!

I covered the reasons why promotion last season would have killed Leeds long term but I'll sum it up.
We didn't have the funds, the organisation or the team to survive in the prem. We would have been gutted again for cheap and has instant relegation. The last time that happened it took us 16 years to smell the prem again and even then it wasn't roses, we had the team gutted again, leading to our situation at the start of last season.
The fan view is relegation is always good. The long term view is that sometimes it's better to lose the battle to win the war.
One year of shoring up our side with a long term plan in the prem, is worth one season of promotion followed by a decade in the champo, or worse.
With all that went wrong last season, we still broke records. This season, without fail, we will succeed because RB will not allow us to fail. It's off the table.
£100 on finishing top of the table is a safe bet.

Not overly bothered about cree going, as I said last season he seemed dis interested, but good player none the less me on fire. My beef is the fee, 25 now and then wait for the rest is not good business, and ontop of that no sell on, that's crazy.
Invest in someone decent and he will be forgotten.

No problems disagreeing, we all have our opinions.
Last season promotion: no trophy, no RB investment, poor finances, third place (lowest payment) , no time to increase capacity of ER and a team that would have to be sold to keep afloat.
This season promotion: trophy, top place money, RB yuge RoI, solid team that are worth 2x what they are now, ER planned extension takes place, solid finances.
This season is the season we go up and never come back down.

Indeed Class. For all of the slating Marathe has taken in the last 48hrs, he has just secured over £70m in transfers for two, unproven players. Neither has worthwhile experience outside of the Champo or junior international football, and when you consider that England international Conor Gallagher could be going to Athletico for £35m, there is some context to back up what you’re saying.
Ps. I don’t rate Gallagher either.
