Like the rumors of Norwich midfielder, seems to be that creativity we do need, will it be done or just crap rumors?
If Everton want Gnoto, wish they'd just do it already, that way we can splash the cash for him ( potentially 20-25mil) ?
What are your thoughts on us signing a striker, seems to be quiet on that front, do you think we need a proper number 9 or as we all hope, MJ can step up? I'd still try a loan as a long season but MJ is scoring.

Need a striker more than any other position now. Piroe could possibly have a better season but Bambi and Gelhardt won’t. So need one more striker. Plus replace any that go now.

Agree with both Aus and Baz, we need another striker (especially given Bamford's woeful injury record) and as Baz says, yet another month of this tortuous transfer window to sit through.
If we are going to sell anymore, then do it NOW! At least then we've got a couple of weeks to bring in some replacements - absolutely no good in selling in the 2nd/ 3rd week in August!
And if that doesn't suit the likes of Everton (who either can't make up their mind, or simply haven't got the money) , then jog on! We are not selling after a certain date.

Agree with all above.
If we sign a striker, don't sign a stop-gap, sign someone who will be with us for the long haul and sign them now.
Failing that, buckle down and go with Piroe and MJ.

I maybe proved wrong but for me the biggest danger to Leeds United missing out on promotion (again) this season will be the SF49ers themselves.

I notice that Blackburn today have given a maximum 7 day notice for any potential sale of Sammi Smozdics ( for £20 million) to happen . stating that he will NOT be sold after this date whatever the offer.

Don’t think Everton will be back in now, in any other business but football you would not be spending at all and every penny of the £50mill for Onana should go towards the debt.
I think there is mature but open relationship with Cree and Gnoto from the 49ers which says we value at X if someone turns up with X we would be open to you talking with them, but nobody has, you’re still barely adults take us up next season and secure a mega move or play in epl with us!
Still think the likes of Whittaker at Plymouth could be a less expensive but strong back up. (Scores goals) think Millwall may have a bargain with wagstaff was it? Anyway there are goals in them there lower leagues and I prefer that approach to an unknown from abroad.
Talking to a few Brighton season ticket holders who genuinely don’t know much at all about Gio but are significantly concerned for next season and generally cannot say whether they will be pushing Europe or in a relegation scrap!
If new Manager doesn’t start well we just may pass them next season?
Gio is our most unique asset and the last player I would sell for any money.

Left back and cm a priority any striker just pushes mj down the pecking order and personally I don’t want that
But if firpo gets injured we have no left back
I hate right footers on the left and wobber is not going to bomb down the line
Think another creative cm is also needed

Like I’ve said before, my worry with a CF signing is him usurping MJ, and stunting his development/ pushing him out. I don’t believe we will sign one on this basis, but an out and out attacking CMF would compensate for that. Get Sara over the line, and I’m pretty much happy, unless there are outgoings.

Think a loan of a CF would be smart to tide us over this season. Would mean less reliance of a consistently injured player as back up (who also tends not to play great when brought on as a sub) . Little outlay and dependent on who, an option to buy. If they play well then the ball is in our court. If they don't particularly shine then we aren't on the hook for anything further.
Personally, I wouldn't worry about MJ being knocked down the pecking order. I think he's got CF locked down given his form this preseason.

Fwiw he's had 2 good seasons in the EFL now, mate. Last season he was exceptional. Season before that he had a great season. Especially considering how poor Norwich were by their standards over recent years.

Seems like the outpouring for MJ to start last season has somewhat dissipated and now we want another striker. By the looks of his form and physique in these pre season games I’d be looking no further than him. Can’t see him talking on too many muscle strains or tears at his age so I wouldn’t be concerned about long term injuries and Paddy would cover when any knocks that might side line him for a game or two
I’m my estimation this will be his breakthrough season.
Sara would be a great signing but sadly it will never happen, if he’s going anywhere it will be to the PL or Atlanta. As Dill mentioned we would not be able to afford his fee either. If we are still looking for another signing, I would hope it was an attacking midfielder.

We need cover for matteo. Simple. Dosent matter if he is first choice or not. He may get injured and he may have a dry spell. I want a striker capable of scoring and pushing matteo for first team. Of which we ain’t got atm.

And agree about MJ, OP. This will be a breakout season for him. Not keen on PB as back up, though. He's become unreliable thanks to so many injuries.
