Interesting article in today's Fail that in the event of a successful law suit against Toffees, they'll likely have to sell players to fund settlement pay off, go into administration and consequently suffer another 9 point deduction. ??????.

Interesting George. Ultimately the fans suffer from the money games. As with us financial difficulties slipping down the leagues and the perpetrators skip off to another club with no more than a slapped wrist.
And I cannot see the fairness of punishing a team this far away from the offence. Who benefits? Not the team who should ie leicester.
And are we now going to get two or three seasons spoilt with teams in false positions and appealing points deductions.
Surely they can do the legal side and point deduction closed season. Then teams know where they start.

I can see what you’re saying Ben, but realistically, to avoid the appeals and legal cases, this particular one should have been sorted last season at the latest, to avoid the need for suing on such a scale. Then the right teams would already be in the right places. (Ish - but still better than today)

Poor Everton now seems to be the war cry, I suppose they will as a club turn this into a seige mentality. I have no real sympathy for them as a club they broke the rules so they have to deal with it. Yes I do feel a tad sorry for their fans as it's usually the fans of any club that are the real victims.
The football authorities now need to deal with Man city and Chelsea but this seems to be a long protracted affair.
The game of football on and off the pitch is being lost to the money men.

And if Everton had started the season at -10 then there draw to new players might have been different. Harrison might not have gone to a team starting on minus points for one. Or players at the club maybe have wanted away. But now Everton have all their signings are in a much better position than if the had started it with the point deductions.
