Not a great performance and never like being outfought by the opposition but have to say all across the pitch in the first half they wanted it more.
Farke thought it was very fine margins hence no subs, I don’t personally agree but he knows a good deal more about football management than myself.
It’s such a long season and it’s relentless in terms of two games a week so you have to be on it and we weren’t clearly.
Wonder why some people are so surprised, if you’re predicting it’s a two year project of sixth place at best, then losing to one of the promotion favourites is surely consistent with your own expectations?
I still firmly believe we will be crowned champions if only as much that my little mind believes it helps the universe deliver on my dream, but accept we will have days like this.
On coops and you could add bill in the equation clearly we have better players available for their positions now, and I hope like others that DF reflects on this and uses them sparingly going forwards.
That being said the defence were under the pump as both James and Jimmy did not do their defensive duties.
Jimmy is a definite sell for me, I believe he’s like a petulant child and his primary focus is January window, I would cash in on him as brilliant as he can be he’s just not consistent enough.
Anthony looks a much better team player for me, I’d push Rutter to the other flank and put Piroe up top down the middle.
Cash strapped baggies thrashed unbeaten Preston at home with Swift and Wallace picking up ever more assists I’d be happy with either or both of them in our team.
We need a TEAM to get us out of this league and Burnley did it with steel and loan players (Tella top scorer) so it’s not about unlimited spending it’s guts, steel and sprinkling of craft to make the chances for Piroe who will take them. so called crappy Hill and Cardiff above us just now, everyone saying their rubbish but they have a settled side and system, something we’re still a little on catch up just now.
Six points from next two home games and we will all feel much better I’m sure.

Who said anything about being " surprised " of losing to Southampton ( even with them losing previous 4 games)
What did surprise and greatly annoy was that DF picked Cooper over Rodon.

The squad simply isn't good enough and now we have DF picking Cooper instead of Rodon. ( as well as Meslier ) ;. jeez

Good post Class, the point of selling Summerville maybe a little premature, I’m hoping that Farke will get the best out of the kid with more time. He’s definitely got something there that can be a big asset for us, but I do get that part of him that may be a attitude problem? . Who knows, but I wouldn’t be so quick to offload him.
I don’t think Farke will be looking to force out any players in January, we could do with one or two coming in though for sure.

Why do I need to justify my prediction Baz? It’s mine isn’t it, I mean I could Google for a few hours and purport the facts are derived from my own forensic Leeds United memory?
Nah, I’m much happier always believing the best for Leeds United and if it becomes mathematically impossible to be Champions then I’ll go second, play off winner.
You might find that non-sensical but that’s really not a problem we all have freedom of choice and blind optimism of Leeds United is my only drug of choice.
And I’m sure you’ll be the first to derive some perverse pleasure from my prediction if it doesn’t come to fruition as you continue to do with Opti, but knock yourself out it certainly doesn’t bother me as it didn’t Opti who interestingly believes Leeds United will be champions.
See I’m on here purely for the craic not likes or kudos so as long as that continues, happy days.

12 points now behing Leicester in 1st : I want Leeds to WIN every game so I really hope Class your optimism is proven correct with Leeds finishing 1st or more feasibly 2nd!
As for my jesting with OP ( and vice versa) its what we do . and we both like to do so a tad imo.

Cork our squad isn't imo good enough to be Champions or 2nd ( unless Jan window is excellent)
my post transfer window prediction for Leeds United is and has been 6th.
Leicester were my pick as Champions ( that looks nailed on) their squad is far better than Leeds currently
I had Saints as 2nd. Their squad is better than Leeds so they may finish 2nd
But I think Ipswich are a big threat with persistent winning momentum from last season and will do well as indeed they are and could well finish 2nd
Leeds for playoffs.

I thought it was a good op class
On a slightly different note, I nearly got barred at my local club for threatening the local bully who is nasty, passive aggressive and upsets everyone. Long story short he stated on my best mate and then his wife so I offered to take him outside and kick him up and down the street.
The reason I didn’t get barred was because the other person who I had a pop at is as mentioned before nasty and upsets everyone
Now he avoids me and since being theatretend by me everyone has realised he holds no power and can be ignored… he still drinks up the club and is ignored by everyone
I see similarities with that person and a poster in this group… while I can make any threats I do suggest everyone adopts the completely ignore stance as I will do…
Some people live to upset others… it makes them happy and makes them feel important… this group and it’s posters are better than that… so let’s ignore?
