Went to the gym early this morning only to be confronted by a guy I hadn't seen in a while (Birmingham City supporter) whose first words to me were, "Who's this bloody Tyler Roberts you've sold us? Played 30 minutes in the first match, hasn't been seen since and now supposedly out for another five weeks".
Oh dear, I did try to warn him a couple of months ago not to get his hopes too much for the guy but they never listen!
Feel sorry for Tyler in many respects, always tried hard, rarely if ever came off but couldn't fault his effort and now just when he's trying to make a fresh start this happens to him!

Marcelo Bielsa ( imo Leeds 5th best ever coach) did a lot of very good things for Leeds United ( a legend in many Leeds supporters eyes and more than fair enough ) !
Bielsa did however (as we all do of course ) make mistakes.
One of his biggest continuous mistakes was somehow picking Tyler Roberts for flipping 100 plus matches ???. ahead of far more talented gifted players.

Furthermore as often is the case it's fine margins in football.
I am not a Radz fan, BUT his dream of European nights at ER would have come true with euro qualification in season 21/ 22
IF
Bielsa had NOT foolishly played Tyler Roberts instead of the far more talented King Pablo Hernandez ?for example or anyone else for that matter . ( when TR played it was like Leeds were playing with 10 men??)
Leeds were just 3 points shy ( just one win of Euro qualification of 7th ?)
Season 21/ 22 final standings
3rd Liverpool 69 points
4th Chelsea 67 points
5th Leicester 66 pts
6th West Ham 65 pts
7th Spurs 62 pts
8th Arsenal 61 pts
9th Leeds 59 pts
Fine margins (just 3 points ) for Euro qualifications and crucial mistakes by Bielsa in playing Tyler Roberts!

Effort always there.
But.

If "effort" is all one has Aus you might as well fetch yer boots
. then again perhaps not Aus ?.

What Baz said.

Agree Cleggy.
The rest is just more regurgitated repetition of snooze inducing levels.
Not to be argued with, but read it a million times now, and therefore as pointless as a hobnail boot on a beach holiday.

Them be the facts hob nail booted one whether you like it or not.

The problem with your theory though Baz is that although Pablo was great for us in the Champ, he was past it for the Prem and wouldn't have had nearly the same impact that you are claiming. In his pomp Pablo didn't really set the Prem alight for Swansea and he was fading by our promotion season. We needed quality signings, not past it veterans.

Think baz has almost got it right but also got it very wrong
Belisa was leeds greatest ever coach… but also one of our worst managers
As a coach he improved players and got us playing some great stuff
As a manager he kept making mistakes like picking Roberts and playing awful football
Managers and coaches can be very different things… you can be great at one and awful at the other.

Alf I naturally completely concur with you that Pablo was ' great for us '
and also that he was ( regrettably) past his best in his final season with us 2020/ 21.
The point being Alf though, that even a faded Pablo ( or anyone else
for that matter ) was still way better than TR. ?
Bermo first seven words of your post spot on ? Keep it up.

Not denying any facts there Mr Brush.
Tho denying the fact that it’s a point made a million times too many, therefore boring, is also repetitively boring.
