Barcherini has joined Sunderland as their goalkeeping coach - so he definitely didn't leave because he had had enough of football. the plot thickens.

Possibly a better contract (unlikely I would have thought but who knows? ) or a falling out with someone, maybe a player (Meslier? ) or one of the more senior management team.
All seemed to happen quickly that's for sure.
