Agreed George, still risk being cut apart but some great attacking play tonight and lots of opportunities. Surely anyone who has watched the new regime can see we will score more from set pieces this year! Players really starting to gel!

Still think we will add to the squad, and yes they weren't the best team we have faced but nice to see some of the new lads playing well. Aaronson looked good and I guess it will take a little while for them to bed into premiership life. Pre-season results mean very little but can see some positive signs, hopefully paddy stays fit and Rodrigo weighs in with some goals.

Yes we looked better going forward but they were awful at the back, I think our cb’s need to just sit 10yards deeper when we are attacking.
Still need those key positions strengthening an all purpose attacker/ striker another midfielder and left back.

Spaniard What will a competent EPL team do to us, especially 2nd half when they reset? If only we had a truly class rapid central defender, we'd be top half for sure. Moving in right direction.

I think it’s tactics as well as pace within the defence, we get ripped apart with players out of position. But good to see the understanding growing and that all that team got a full ninety minutes! Wolves will be a good test to see how this approach works against a reasonable prem team. For me a good performance tonight!

Think that’s the idea sweaty, front to back being very close together and being compact. Drop defenders 10 yards back and you can’t press in the same packs as Jesse is aiming for. However one long ball over the top and zero pace does look like a certain mauling could be on the cards against some1 like Tottenham with Son.
