Personally I cannot see the point of pursuing CDK if he wants to go to Milan. It's not like buying a house at auction. If he does come because Milan drop out then he will probably be resentful because we were the club that stopped him doing what he wanted. Sure he can refuse personal terms but he will be left in a difficult situation and may come because he thinks he hasn't much of a choice. He'd always be looking for a way out. M. Terrier would be a better if not a bit expensive. same applies to the lad from Brentford.

Reportedly term are already agreed with the lad, and it’s only the slight interest from AC which has prevented him signing “yet”: purely because of the draw of CL football.
He is keen to play in the PL, but can’t sniff at the oppo of CL, so is waiting on see if anything progresses with Brugge.

If CDK doesn’t end up at AC, it’s because that club couldn’t be bothered to fork out another €5m even though he’s supposedly their priority signing this summer. If they’re so very keen to bring him in they should pay the money Brugge want. Apparently AC have employed some bloke (I heard his name yesterday but can’t recall it) who runs some kind algorithm too work out the transfer value of their targets, and they refuse to go above it. This approach led to them missing out on Sven Botman to the Saudi sportswashers. You may recall that Botman was said to have turned down the Saudis because he wanted to go to AC - but yet when Lille refused to back down to AC on their valuation, off he went to the Tyneside launderette. Now AC are apparently taking the same approach with CDK - if they really want him, why not ditch the algorithm on this occasion and pay up what Brugge are asking for.
If CDK came here he’d know that if he plays to his best ability for us for a season or two in the Prem, he’ll likely have a whole host of Champions League sides clamouring for his signature. He’s currently been talked of as the next KDB - in two years time KDB will be 33, and Man Citeh could well be in the market literally for his heir in their squad, and CDK will know that we are unlikely to stand in his way if Citeh come calling. He’d likely have a far better chance of actually winning (not just playing in) the Champions League with them than with AC. Rather than getting in the way of his dreams, we would be helping him achieve them.

I hope that's the case and he eventually arrives as he looks a decent player but I don't think we need another recruit who would prefer to be somewhere else.

CDK for sure only sees AC Milan as a stepping stone by being in the shop window of the CL, a lot quicker than playing for Leeds in the Prem for couple of seasons. Plus he may see Leeds as a club to be potential relegation fodder. (Not that I think that)
I feel very uncomfortable with a player who is already making it clear that the club he is going to is using you as a stepping stone before he has already signed.
We all know this is the reality but stating that he already wants to play for another club doesn’t sit well with me. It sends the wrong signals in my mind.

I think it falls in to the “Leicester model” bracket this? Buy for £35, sell for £60.we can’t really expect much more at this moment in time, at least until the club is sold to someone wealthier, who I hope will be Parathe!
