Probably because they're a bunch of narcissists whom feel entitled to get valuable things for free in order to help overcome their humiliating loss of Lionel, their crippling debts and Real Madrid's success. Some media outlets are apparently reporting that Barcelona have given up on signing Raphinha for now and have turned their attention to Angel Di Maria on a free.
Many of you will also be aware that Phil Hay reported at the end of last week that Raphinha had not (contrary to earlier suggestions in Spanish media) put in any kind of transfer request, and confirmed that Leeds had not at that stage received any bids from Barca.

Raphinha has of course also stated last week that he wants to be sure of significant game time at club level ahead of the World Cup - which would be less certain at Barca, Liverpool, Chelsea etc than here.

Maybe they’re not flying, but rather they’re walking/ cycling and rowing/ canoeing/ swimming here and back, having set up a gofundme page - in which case perhaps we could give them Kiko as a goodwill gesture.
