Just re watched Take us home, so emotional. Have to say great work bringing in Beilsa and what an amazing job he did to get us out of that killer league.
Hope they have plans to honor him, a fantastic achievement.
Need radz and 49ers to improve squad that can be a premiership force, as don't want to go through that again, not good for our health.

Bielsa being honoured fine, he did a good job first 3 years .
Howard Wilkinson deserves a lot more honouring than various Leeds owners have so far mustered.

What Bielsa did with that squad was an amazing achievement. This season could have undone all that, but thankfully it didn't. I am pleased his tenure will be remembered with our place in the Premier League secured. Hopefully the hierarchy will make sure the investment is there so we don't have another season of struggle.

Right here’s one for you my mate Baz…. yes you are 100% right about Sgt Wilko and yes we should honour him as well, but I would like to make a comparison to both Wilko and Bielsa. When we we’re the last winners of the old league one before it became the Premier League, pundits and people alike including Sgt Wilko said we had no right to win the league with the players we had, the fact being that he turned a group of 2nd division champions at the time in to league one winners and he did this because he made those players fitter and they never gave up running until that final whistle, fitness and wanting it more got us where we were with him. So now look at MB, he took a pretty mediocre team of Championship players and got them promoted when so many before him had failed with the same players. They are very much alike, methodical, organised, fit, hungry, tireless and exciting. Who said lightning never strikes twice in the same place! Let’s have them both honoured, along with Pablo Hernandez as he was a legend. But Baz, when that statue of Hernandez goes up outside Elland Road if it goes missing we will be sending the Police round to your home bedroom! Lol ?? joking aside though totally agree with you Baz. But there are strong similarities ????????.

There are strong similarities in the way they changed the training etc to significantly improve the players’ fitness and changed the culture of the Club etc. There are significant differences to, particularly in the squads they got promoted with. Bielsa largely worked with the squad he inherited, full of Championship players who’d failed to get promoted under other managers (most having failed several times) whereas Wilko made significant additions to the squad, bringing in quality and recent experience of higher level competition at a cost of almost £3.5m in transfer fees alone. Believe it or not, some analysts believe that prices in the UK transfer market have increased around 40-fold since then, which would mean that in today’s market Wilko would have spent more than
I’m not in any way seeking to diminish what Wilko achieved - just trying to put a little more comparative context to Bielsa’s achievement. What was startling in Wilko’s case was that he successfully identified a collection of disparate players with the perfect combination of attributes to create a team that could achieve promotion (as Champions) at the first attempt, and would go on, with relatively few squad additions, and the integration of a couple of outstanding academy graduates, to lift the First Division title two seasons later. It is quite ridiculous how little recognition he seems to get for what he did for our Club.
Hopefully our current ownership, of Radz and 49ers, or just 49ers Enterprises when they take control in due course, will see their way to honouring both men appropriately.
