Why are we linked with Ramsay and Dest when we already have Cardiffs player of the season on our books. Surely momey could be better spent elsewhere?

Wouldn't take Dest - reeks of journos knowing he's American and Barcelona not being able to afford a direct fee for Raphinha so will try and ship some players as a makeweight. Ramsay I would take - Ayling is on his last legs and next season probably his last with his knee - no slight he's been a great player for us and at a great price too. Ramsay in Shackleton out this season and that'll leave Drameh and Ramsay to battle it out. Ramsay can't be bad - Liverpool have been after him for a while too.

Maybe they believe we ought to have two specialist RBs - which would be a welcome development. If Calvin Ramsay was signed perhaps they feel both youngsters are good enough to rotate/ compete for the slot - or maybe Bill would stay one more season with Drameh/ Ramsay sent on loan. If Dest was believed not to be an injury risk, and actually wanted to come here, he is also quite accomplished at LB and RW.

Good post Cluey. You need cover for each position. Dest, Ramsay, Ayling, Drameh can form a RB competition.

Barca will only offload rejects. Dest should not even be considered.

From my Barcelona source, Dest is a good player. Mingueza on the other hand very quick but lacking in other areas such as ball control. Trincao and Puig ought to be considered.
