I really wanna like Jesse and I do but I absolutely hated his dressing room speech talking about fans singing his name. Different soccer cultures I suppose?!

Didnt see his speech but if you are inferring to him being a big head well plenty of others past and present . Jose Mourinho, Brian Clough RIP for starters.

He’s not baz, Marsch saying he doesn’t want the fans singing his name, it’s not him that done it, it was the players. Something along them lines anyway.

Cork It's because he's focussed on the word "United". It means a lot to Americans 🇺🇸 in the United States especially as they haven't been as united as they want for some years. It's a bit cheesy 🧀 admittedly but he's just truly enamoured by the English game and our fans. Eddie G in his interview a couple days ago said the atmosphere is best he's ever seen. Our fans are the best and everyone knows it. To us, it's almost nothing because we know about Leeds but to an American it's culture shock on steroids. Paraag has remarked same. Let JM get used to our ways in his own time, he's doing well.

Really good post George and I would agree with you fully. I also think he is so overwhelmed by our support and the euphoria of winning that comes with it, plus managing in the Premier League has all accumulated in him feeling very humble while at the same time extremely excited. There is no doubt he is a good man and not just with us for a big payout or using us as a stepping stone, I think he would like to be with us for a long time. There are a few saying he is too romantic with his footballing dreams but if it makes him a winner then go for it, they also say he is a weak manager because there is no player - manager divide as such, well I like that, he maybe doesn’t have the Klopp effect as of yet but the players seem to warm to him well and unlike MB he seems a lot more approachable. It is also nice for the supporters to have a manager that speaks English even if it is American English! I hope this is the start of something exciting 👍👍MOT.

Woody Touche with a very good post of your own. The game is predominantly about skill and then tactics but sheer will and desire play a big part too. Inevitably we lose Raph very soon but if the club recruit well which I think they shall we ought to progress a lot with a motivational JM at the helm.

100% with you there George, if the sale of Raph can bring us in 3 quality additions then it will be worth it. We have a lot of rebuilding to be done and done in the right way will pay dividends 👍👍.

Cheesy is probably it George.

The thing is, that we became very united again under Bielsa, though things had started to fray, and have been very much in danger of continuing to do so since he left. Marsch will have seen, and absolutely loved (and not just because of cheesy American sentiment) the unity under Bielsa and will know that a happy harmonious squad, with the addition of further quality and driven on by our passionate fans in this one team city will be able to achieve great things here. Despite our recent travails we are currently still much more united than that other club that, with the media’s assistance, have appropriated the name ‘United’. Marsch will be very keen to get back as close as possible to that unity within the Club, and with the fans and the wider city so that we can March (not Marsch) on Together up the League, challenge in the cups, leave the relegation zone far behind and look towards the European spots.
