The world has gone MAD.

There is no way any football club is worth 4 thousand million dollars -

These clubs are no longer here for the fans or to generate profits for club and community they are merely the toys/ playthings of wealthy individuals seeking personal gratification hoping to buy their way in to what is essentially a British
institution and way of life.

As UK football slowly slips into Europe, and it will as the European competitions keep expanding our home grown game will eventually be lost.

Just as side note but our haul of points last year would have qualified us for Europe this year, glad it didn't though as we struggled enough as it was.

Anything is worth what someone is willing to pay.

Alf - strictly speaking, that’s not correct. For example, Mel Morris paid £80m for pride park, when it was actually worth around half that.

Why did he pay it then Clu?

I’d have to agree with Alf, if someone pays 80 mil for it then it’s worth 80 mil to the buyer . So yeah it’s worth what someone’s willing to pay.

Answer Alf, to beat the fair play rules

Response from Alf, then it’s worth it to him isn’t it

Alfs point proven. It’s worth what some1 is prepared to pay.

Point not proven - there’s plenty of times when people have paid far more than what something is worth, having been conned over its real value.

Also returning to the Derby County case - yes, Morris thought that to him and the club it was worth paying £80m - but in the end reality bit - Morris ended up in disgrace and Derby were relegated. Point spectacularly unproven.
