History can quite often repeat itself especially when things go wrong.
Swansea’s appointment by its American owners at the time influencing the appointment of Bob Bradley who failed miserably and lasted only 85 days in charge.
Ok we don’t have outright American owners here yet but I believe this is something to satisfy the 49er’s by Radz and Orta.
I’m not going as far to say what do the yanks know about football, but what other outstanding previous American coaches have furnished our leagues.
None!
The jury is definitely out on JM, I don’t think he realizes the magnitude of the job he has taken on, given the history of our club along with its defiantly loyal fans. A couple of wins against Norwich and Watford and a big slice of luck against Wolves is not what it takes to convince me and blaming Bielsa along with his pathetic moral boosting Ghandi speeches is embarrassing.
Marsch may be able to stake a claim in the Prem given some time but he’ll be dead in the water if we are relegated into the graveyard of once big teams division.

Blooming heck OP . ( a rarity) I fully agree with you.

Nice one Baz but I don’t think you will agree with what I’ll say next. At least if Bielsa was still with us and we get relegated, I’d put my house on it that he would get us promoted at the first time of asking.
Have a think about that!

Hmm OP what you mean like in the 1st season under MB when Leeds didn't get promoted ( bottling it in front of crowds)

It would also need a completely new set of players and at least one Pablo clone

However back to your original point yes I would 1 billion percent prefer MB to be coach still of LUFC as opposed to the hapless JM ; a truly woeful replacement.

The so called spy gate was to part blame for the reason we didn’t get promoted that first season with Bielsa. Far too much negative media attention created by our friend Frank Lampturd put pressure on our players during the run in.
It reminded me so much of the Bowyer, Woodgate incident that pretty much sealed our fate back in the day.
Don’t underestimate the effect that the media can have over a football team when the headline stories are about your team for the wrong reasons.
The old narratives are very easy and a lazy way to latch on to what is happening with a certain club, manager or players.

OP fella you are clutching at straws blaming Spygate for a failed promotion

. on the contrary when Spygate came out in Jan 2019 Leeds then beat Derby 2 nil in the league and revelled in the Spygate stuff;

OP it was the pressure and expectancy of promotion that did for Leeds players and Bielsa in front of crowds.

Spygate was not the main reason agreed, but it was a strong contributing factor in the disrupting effect it had on our team. The fallout of spygate didn’t happen until the weeks after that derby win.

We would not have gone down with Bielsa. There. I said, and I mean it. I know our inability to covert chances haunts us, but at least with Bielsaball, we created chances!

Totally agree Bright.
