Sam allardyce to burnley. That's real ambition for you.
Hilarious.
How can they be so kind to us.

Was going to post yesterday that Slaven Bilic might be a decent choice for them, having recently parted company with with Beijing Guoan. Looks like he’s being linked with the post now, with suggestions that he may actually be interested.

And now Rooney. That could be a dangerous one. He done ok at derby. Prefer Fatman Sam.

I see Big Sam is still favourite for the post, at 7/ 4, though he would reportedly require a massive bonus for keeping them up - and a new contract for next season. That said, I’d guess quite a lot of potential candidates might request similar clauses to appointment.

I note Carlos Corberan is one of several managers (including Neil Warnock) listed at 40/ 1 for the job. I’d put him at much longer odds than that - doesn’t seem the right kind of project for Carlos to be at all interested, and he’s well placed for the play-offs with the Terriers.

Whoever it is, do think it is far too presumptuous by posters on here to now suggest Burnley are now down.

I think removing a manager of 10 yrs with 8 games to go is crazy.
It just upsets the whole apple cart. Players, coaches, tea laddies. Everybody.
It’s suicide in my opinion.
Time will tell.

They are not down because mathematically they can still get out of this situation, but with a new coach it equals new way to play, clearly the they are playing now I doubt they will survive so those changes may take a while for the players to adapt. Time is not on their side. The only thing the Burnley fans can hope for is they have the new manager bounce, which can lift the players performances.
Very risky strategy by Burnley’s owners, one they felt was worth a roll of the dice.
I’m not concerned for us in all this outcome of Burnley because I’m certain we will be above at the very least either Burnley or Everton, come the end of the season.

16 Apr 2022 13:03:36
Yes op. Very risky. A real roll of the dice.
But if rumours are true. They win if they stay up. They don’t buy if they lose.
A win win lose win.

16 Apr 2022 13:55:53
They should get Benitez in, and he can help them survive at Everton’s expense!

16 Apr 2022 15:02:00
OP - it’s to be he’d we do finish above Everton and/ or Burnley, but let’s not count our chickens yet. Brighton’s win at Spurs just now (building on their win at Arsenal, and thoroughly drawing a line under their poor run of form) is a reminder that none of our remaining fixtures are easy.

Are we really bothered boys come on well done pontus your leeds and you know you are your leeds.

17 Apr 2022 07:21:06
Good that you mention Arsenal Clu, them losing Tieney and Parti is like us losing Bamford and Phillips, their boat is very unsettled now, possible point or three for us.
Just because as Leeds fans we have been used to a lot of misfortunes doesn’t mean we haven’t enjoyed good ones too.
Stop with the overboard negativity. !
