Almost half a season left and we are a few points clear. Unfortunately unless we can get Phillips and Bamford back for the long haul we will be in relegation trouble big time. Even with them back the rest of the season will not be easy. Monumental mistakes with James and Rodrigo, James was particularly bad. He went to MAN u. from under our noses for 15 million, doesn't make and is pretty average then they are able to off load him for double the price. Lord Sugar would have fired everybody who was involved. He plays poorly for us and we keep playing him. At least Rodrigo had some sort of pedigree. Augustin came and went. Another nightmare. On top of that we keep playing Roberts. Given this history if I was Phillips, Raphinia or Bamford I would be planning my escape route now. As fans we are loyal but as a player its your career. The only real thing going for us at the moment is that we are the darling of the media and players might like basking in that limelight - for a while. Unless we sort out what's causing our injury problems and get a settled team together its not beyond the bounds of possibility that we finish even lower than Norwich. Players do not want to be involved in anything like that if they are half way decent.

Completely agree with you, but don't forget to add Bielsa and the coaching team to the escape party at the end of the season. we'll be back to square one probably.
