Hjlede Struick Geldhart Bate Summerville just a few names of why looking to the future is s good thing. Why we may all get impatient on immediate difference makers not arriving yet let's not forget the job Orta and Rad have done in bringing in some serious assets to LUFC. Rad won't be around for long I think yet still sees the benefit to Leeds in bringing in these young players.

Rodrigo roberts or James will be striker.

21 Jan 2022 02:28:23
yep Aus a tad disappointingly so.

21 Jan 2022 07:08:22
Might be best to try Rodrigo there again cause he does seem to have a good understanding with raph. Roberts needs 3049 chances to score 1 and James huffs and puffs but mostly that is all.
Maybe keep james on bench and if Harrison not scored 3 by half time sub him.

Agreed Aus. I’d definitely be playing Rodders up top ahead of Tyro, and Geldhart to get the last 20mins, as he is just back from injury.

Nothing wrong with retaining the current 3 up top with DJ central. His finishing not the best but his running off the ball is very good which is causing more space for Raph and Jack especially Jack. I'd go with status quo up top with Rodrigo and Joffy to freshen it up after 65 minutes.

Unusually u might be right Georgie Porgie.

21 Jan 2022 11:29:45
I would agree with that also George, Rodrigo will need time to ease back into the squad after injury, he’s susceptible to breaking down if he’s rushed back. I’m sure he’ll give him the last 30mins.
Newcastle are never easy to play against but I’m hoping our counter attacks will be too much for their weak defense.

21 Jan 2022 13:57:45
A good perspective there George!

22 Jan 2022 01:24:51
Thanks Brighty.

Agreed George. Top 3 worked well v Hammers so no need to change from start. DJ’s pressing created problems for their CBs, and Toon’s likely CB pairing of Lascelles and Schar ain’t the quickest either. Jack on the same form as last two games would keep Trippier on his toes (was going to say keep him honest, but not sure anyone could do that, with all his diving and knowing smirks etc) and Dummett will be kept busy by Raphinha - Joelinton may have to help him out, creating space for whoever is in midfield. Joffy can enter the fray for the last 25-30 mins, when their defence are already knackered, and hopefully pick up his first Elland Road goal, or at least draw an exhausted foul for a pen with one of his twinkle toed runs.

Can we have less of the intelligent tactical cements George and more innuendos?

22 Jan 2022 10:02:35
Alf - we could probably do with some tactical cement to slow down Saint-Maximin this aft.

22 Jan 2022 10:47:13
Clue, yes, he is clearly their biggest threat. Wood need tying down too!
