Think fans should give Dan James a break, fans patience is pretty much non existent when it comes down to letting players adapt and develop into their new club.
We’ve been through it before with Bamford, Llorente, Koch, Firpo and even Harrison! Same goes for Rodrigo, it’s only media bulls@@t that tells us he’s unhappy at the club.

So you think DJ for example shouldn’t be given the time to adapt, he’s crap and that’s it. Not every player is going to be like Raph who’s an exception, Bamford and Harrison were both given a hard time from the fans when they arrived but now would they want to get rid?
There’s only one word for today’s football sadly and that is impatience.

I like James. He seems nice enough bloke.
Compare his stats with Harrison and raph.
Don’t forget he has played striker most of time.
He can run fast and tries hard but he can’t score.
Simple.
How many games he had? 18 or 19.
How much time do you think a professional premier league footballer needs?

I think 5 games and equivalent training sessions is suffice.

Don’t forget he’s played striker most of the time? Yeah that’s because we are short on strikers and he’s playing out of position for the team aus. So he’s judged on trying his best for a new team in a new position. That seems fair 🤷â€â™‚ï¸.

Yes you’re right Aus, he has been deployed as a striker, as we all know he’s a winger. His job was to supply Bamford and Bamford reiterated that point when he arrived.
How many opportunities has Harrison fluffed in his time at Leeds, as a winger.
Ideally he should be pressuring Harrison for that left wing in feeding Bamford with scoring opportunities, but because of Bamford’s long injury spell and Roberts has being pants, he has been given that task of a striker.
Unfair to judge him already in these circumstances.

I think we won’t see the best of Dan James until next season. The impatience of Leeds fans sometimes astounds me. Like OP and Awaydays say, he is not the first to have an average first season, but I’m confident he will come good. Don’t forget that those red uns fans didn’t want him to leave. And Firpo was getting panned after only a couple of games. It’s ridiculous sometimes!

Harrison may have fluffed more but he been here 3 times longer. Not a fair comment.
My comment about James being striker was purely that he was or should be in a position to score.
Just like he was at west ham. How did that work out.

James is no striker but his running off the ball yesterday top class. He is improving.

Not everything is black and white as you may see it, I guess time will tell with DJ and I’m certain he will be given that time to show that he is a quality young player who will contribute and assist goals. I think everybody loves to follow the narrative and say, well he’s quick but he’s got nothing else!, By the time Bielsa has schooled DJ, people I think will be reeling in their false judgements of him.
