Funny how you can't get a good deal in January but I've seen a few already. I mean courting and trippier are reasonable signings. Palace lining up neikita.
If you see the need you need to buy. Obviously we don't see the need.

Aus. I think we have enough in the squad to fend off relegation (not that I’ve ever thought it will happen) I think Radz and Orta probably feel the same. I’d rather spend time and money looking for players in the summer to go forward gradually.

Totally agree Aus, all these sound bites are just silly talk, the players are there, not all granted but with the right planning + offer, the deals can be done.

Bit like Angus + Radz telling us, there's no cash there we have to use loan signings .

For example, our league position last year meant in comparison to Brighton, we signed Dan James for the extra cash we received for our 9th place finish against Brighton's 16th place finish .

This cash had to be deemed surplus as there was no way it was accounted for at start of season, so it's a bit disingenuous to say oh, we paid 25 mill for James, yes indeed they did, but it was cash they never had to account for initially.

Nicely said Danum!

danum : for me its arrogance and naivety for anyone to think that there is no ( serious) risk to LUFC EPL status ; you say LUFC have enough in the squad to fend off relegation but LUFC have been in the bottom 6 or so all season even when they had only a few injuries for the first 6 games.

LUFC have been anaemic in midfield and up front virtually all season so why not remedy this in Jan window and try to climb the league? Why take the risk and do nothing?

As things stand LUFC wil be in a R battle until the very end of the season and would not surprise me at all if they finish one of the bottom 3 ( Norwich, Burnley perhaps, then one of Newcastle, Watford, Leeds, Brentford even)

Yes Baz its this current squad, less injuries, that have got us to this and there is no God given right that when players come back we will inexorably rise up the league. I wonder abour Burnley, on paper they have enough fire power to scrape safe. They just for some unknown reason need to organise.
