At least our defeat yesterday resolved our dilemma ( for some) we were never going to win the cup and any run would have been distracting. It also showed us we have another gem in the making, if we can keep hold, and, if the offer for Cresswell is large enough we can afford to take it, as we add Hjelde to our "knocking on the doors" list.
I am afraid that Greenwood did not set the world on fire however it was a big ask, to play in a position which I do not think he is suited (or ready) against a mean Prem defence. I think the lad is more a second striker and may just morph into that, in time.
Young Sumerville however excites when he is on the ball and may just require a well thought out loan for a season to give him that impetus however the impending loss of Raph? may just preclude that and he may end up learning on the job which would not worry me in the slightest (it may unnerve a few Prem FullBacks though)
I have far more to get off my chest but if I can just finish with a plea to Marcelo. Please listen to young James. Surely he has proved to you by now that he is not a striker. (The lad is barely a good winger) . He is actually a fast runner without a final ball but if you must play him put him on the wing - and tell him, stay there.

Leo Why not retain Cressy and play him alongside Hjelde? They are both built like beasts. Hjelde was sheer class yesterday. One of the best debuts in the history of our club.

Leodis, it has to be said James was never any good at man poo so why we bought him is just crazy and at at 30 million unbelievable., now we are in need of replacements no money is coming forward, if we are to believe what MB is now saying that he put forward a list of players at the time of his signing why did Radz not do so. Leads me to believe that MB will NOT be at Leeds next season for sure, Radz has now limited time to pick a very good replacement, Victoria needs to do a job stop buying ones for the future as they are not working as we can all see, time is running out other clubs have been very busy in this window and looks like all we can do is offer renewed contacts in hope that will keep fans off his back and it won’t. Radz we are watching!

Good idea George, but it would be a shame to ditch the Llorente-Struijk partnership, or any other permutations actually.

Leo Diego and Pascal are excellent when fit. Clear to see something wrong with Llo. Poor game from him against Hammers. I'd eventually but soon love to see a back 4 of Drameh Cressy Struick Hjelde. They might be below par first season but they could be class with the experience gained after that.

IMO the future would be best served with Crezza +Leo, both look very good prospects, and a lot more powerful looking than Koch, pascal or Diego

Let's try keep the younger good prospects, rather than sell them for a paltry few million.

Agreed George and Chris. IF the likes of Liverpool and Salford Utd are actually sniffing around Cressy it’s because he’s got a really bright future ahead of him. We should all want that future to be at Leeds, probably as captain - certainly don’t want to see the lad lifting trophies in red.

A solid defence is the base on which winning teams can be built. Once established, Cressy and Leo could be an excellent CB partnership for us for many years, and in the meantime Koch and Struijk (once fit again) could do a pretty decent job too.
