Fairly decent mid week for us, valuable 3 points and other teams around us dropped off.
If we can beat brentford, things will look much more positive and maybe take some pressure off, with a tough run in December.
Another positive is bamford and ayling not too far away.

I will expect Bamford to play at least a half and prob ayling too.
The problem is the other side with neither struik or firpo being ideal. Maybe slot Dallas in there.
Phillips Forshaw and klich or Rodrigo in midfield.
If we can get a Win it will also boost confidence being then at nearly full strength for the big boys. No reason we can’t snatch a point from at least two games.

You may have spotted what seemed like an oblique reference by Axe to the WW1 festive truce.
This prompted a thought. Might it be an idea for those of us from among the ‘Moaner’ Allies and the ‘Rose-tinted’ Axis who can get to the Villa home game (which I regret is unlikely to include me) to meet for a drink before/ after the match. That game is closest to Christmas, and it would also be a fitting opportunity to raise a toast in memory of Villa Dave, and to others lost to CV19 or otherwise this year, and to their families and friends who’s grief will be brought into sharp focus again at that time.

Bielsa has pointed out that Bamford will be on the bench come Sunday and that Roberts will start. My point of view is if we are not in front after sixty minutes he’ll stick Bamford on. All the same, good luck to Tyler and I hope he scores for us.

On the subject of class, now that the stains of Dean Smith (and JT before him) have left, perhaps there is more hope of a return to better times for Villa. It would be interesting to know your thoughts on the change of management at your Club.
