Gerard again being tipped for villa.
As other have posted. Why would he. Could tarnish his prem rep if he fails and then Liverpool won't want him.

Now confirmed. I’m not going to wish Villa good luck with their new manager but I will to Steven Gerrard. He’s got some balls to do it but at some point he would have to dip his feet in the deep end. Also I wonder how long the Villa bosses will give Gerrard to bed in? .

IMO he needed a step up from Rangers before the big job, personally doing well at Rangers doesn't make u a top class manager, they didn't get past Malmo in the champions league, was there manager considered for the job.
Makes you wonder why he never threugh his hat into for the Newcastle job
