Guess we always going to have 2 sides to the investment saga and how VO has done since 2017.
He does seem passionate about Lufc and sure tried his best, some very good ins and some woeful.
MB, Llorente, struijk and raphi are great but some big misses in JKA, Rodrigo, costa.
Think clue saying doing great with young ones, how many has he brought in over his time (20+) and how many made first team, maybe 2 that are in team now.
Lots of others moved on and we all still hoping recent intake come good, excited for likes of gerhert, Summerville and bates.
My view is that radz has been fantastic and built a great foundation but we needed to invest to get to next level, we have gone slightly back IMO, think we too good to go down but slightly anxious.
Only think it needed another 2-3 players brought in and would've been top 8 side and into Europe, that in turn makes players want to commit and better players to sign.
People saying raphi may go but will get great profit, we should be building around him, different class and only 23, he the player to take us into Europe, champions league and possibly title. I think if we got or get into Europe and seen to be investing in players and stadium, he would stay.
Just my view though.

Agree with all the above.
Think radz victor and loco thought we were strong enough to push on from last season. A bit naive really.
So many diff factors can prevent that. Other teams strengthen, dip in players form, other teams knowing us better and injuries and suspension. I hope we can keep raph until end of season and persuade him to stay with two or three quality signings but I suspect a big money offer in January and the horse will bolt.
One player dosent make a team but he is special.
Think what Phillips will think if we sell raph in January.

Raph will very sadly, very likely go but at the end of the season not before ; it would be foolhardy in the extreme to allow him to leave in Jan window.

Hope he will stay long term Aus, up to board to show / convince him we are aiming high.
Unfortunately they didn’t do that last transfer window but ever hopeful.
Baz, would be crazy to let go in January and don’t think he will be sold then.

there is no way that Leeds would sell Raphinha in Jan whatever the size of any potential offer as he is vital to them for gaining points and most importantly staying in the EPL.

Not saying he will go but I’m pretty sure some team in Europe or England will throw out a teaser in January. City may need to replace sterling. PSG losing bap. Pool salad ( auto correct but quite amusing ) chelsea Werner, Newcastle as a statement of intent, Spurs kane. A lot of players moving about soon.
