I still think we got it wrong over the Summer. We bought three players for roughly 50 million. (Not counting the youngsters) . Two wingers and a left back. Two were probably unnecessary at this time. We are desperately weak in mid field, we are not converting the chances we create and we are exposed at the back. That should have been the priority. I hope we don't regret it by the end of the season.

Agreed Hess. Excited with all the CM we were linked with then utterly deflated with the lack of activity.

An almighty balls up by VO, MB and AR ;and the past 15 games performances ( friendlies, cups and EPL games) further draw attention to this ineffective transfer summer window

Baz - I think you’ll find my comments yesterday were original content, reflecting the latest position.
My point is that no matter what I or any one else said yesterday, or the day, week, month before you continue to churn out the same.
A week or two ago, you suggested you might actually have decided to give your negativity a rest - but despite some improvements in performance since then, and the emergence of Cresswell as a trusted CB option and further progress by Shacks (both of which you have acknowledged) you’ve very quickly slipped back to your old ways.

Besides if Radz, Vic and Mr Bielsa don't have a problem with what the "Baz Brigade" post then we shouldn't take it personally either. I recall Mr Bielsa's translator having difficulty with the Argentinian phrase "hater are going to hate" but he took it in good humour
To diffuses the obvious trenchlines. what do other posters feel about my observation that for the last 6 months now opposition defences are defending deep and in numbers against us. More so than they do against other teams. I had to watch the Everton match and neither team defended like they had against us. They smothered the central area with us, knowing that is where our final ball always seems to go.

I don't sissagree with your park the bus observation. Any teams with fragile confidence, usually those outside the top 4/ 6, run scared and park the bus. I am okay with the quick one twos around the box but at some point a solid shot is called for and this is where we fall down. Usually the final pass is just not perfect and the perfect shot is therefore lost.
