After 45 mins of stress and anxiety I was able to grab what appeared to be the last seat in block C22 for the game against West Ham.

The 1.00pm release of tickets was designed to give those supporters who work to have the opportunity to purchase a ticket during their lunch hour.

Me? - I am now going to lie down for an hour or two. I wouldn't be in a fit state to go back to work.

PLAB How do you know what poster Me is doing?

08 Sep 2021 15:19:19
I got on after 40mins, areas showing good availabilty some hsd no seats left. I got one in north west upper only to discover on chekout restricted view, cleared basket and started again. Starting to panic, got one in family stand any port in a storm. Hope Alf and Dougie got some luck today.

Got lucky AGM, got 2 tickets in family stand. 👍👍.

08 Sep 2021 15:44:35
how did you get "one" in the Family Stand?

08 Sep 2021 15:54:33
I don't know PLAB just add to basket and paid, maybe because I'm a senior.

We should meet, I'll be under the clock with a bunch flowers wearing a suit and get.

08 Sep 2021 17:49:00
I'll be the one in a leeds shirt Dougie.

08 Sep 2021 18:49:05
Yes it's for concessions.

I also managed to get tickets after 'only' a half hour wait in the West Stand. Woohoo.

Would be great to meet up guys if anyone is up for a pre-game drink in the Peacock.

Spanish and DJ will you guys be around?

It is bloody stressful though.

08 Sep 2021 19:48:34
Stressful Alf, Have you seen the price of hotel's for the 25th? £250 for hotel I've paid £80 for before now. I'll be in Peacock, all being well, for a couple, before the drive home.

08 Sep 2021 20:40:21
Where are you driving from AGM? fortunately I live locally so don't have to worry about a hotel. You might get one a bit further from the centre for less?

08 Sep 2021 20:44:30
Plus while going on sale at 1pm is a good idea in principle so someone can buy in tge lunch hour, by the time you actually get access to the site it can be over an hour, I. e.2pm so most will have to go back to work just as they have a chance of getting one of the few remaining tickets!

Alf,

If you book a room well in advance, (Months or Weeks) with Premier Inns and pay their "cancellation insurance" you will receive a cheaper rate and should you are unlucky not to get a ticket you can cancel your room up to three days in advance of arrival and you only lose a few quid from your booking payment and you receive a full refund for your cancellation.

Check out Premier Inn T&C's.

You could reserve a bedroom for each game well in advance at a much better rate and cancel those that you do not need for a nominal fee once you are aware which games you can attend.

The rate is called "Semi Flex". It could save you a fortune in room rates, especially if you are a regular visitor to ER.

The yield management operated by hotel chains these days encourage guests to book early and as the numbers of rooms reserved increase as they approach arrival date, the price increases. Its most unlikely that chains such as Premier Inn need to offload surplus rooms cheap a couple of days prior to arrival dates.

Try it next time you are hoping to travel to Leeds.

sorry Alf, my recent reply should been sent FAO AGM.

I figured as much plab but top tips nevertheless.

Alf, I travel from Shrewsbury. PLAB I've used Premier Inn a lot but not seen such high prices with a couple of weeks to go. It was not really an issue before the ticketing lottery.
I also use IHG hotels and Accor, they have gone silly on pricing. Found an Ibis in Shipley £78 catch the train in to Leeds, but, then wife comes with me and goes shopping in Leeds and up goes the cost again. Happy Days. Good tip to use the Flexi though thanks.
