Alf and anyone else who has been using the length of time it’s taken to bring in Leo Hjelde to throw shade on Orta (again) . There has apparently been a very simple and sensible reason for it. According to Dan Moylan of the Square Ball, they’ve just been waiting for him to turn 18, which he did today, as that makes the paperwork etc a lot more straightforward.

But I suppose the question is does he now enter the Bermuda U23 triangle and never called me back out again only for the day he leaves to sign for Donny or Smoggies.

It would seem he’s being brought in for when Coops hangs up his boots, in a year or two, to take over as our second left footed CB. Despite his age, he’s already played senior football, albeit with Ross County in the Scottish Prem, where his manager described him as ‘the next Virgil Van Dijk’ - though of course we know that’s actually our own Pascal Van Struijk.
