Hoping for an England win tonight, not going to be as easy as lots of people think but we are more than capable of getting through.
KP and Rice both with a booking each going into this game does Southgate leave one of both out and bring in Henderson and Mount? Big call either way. Personally I wouldn't change the team and play both.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gareth has ruled out benching KP, Declan Rice and slab head because on yellows.

Also, we shouldn’t underestimate Ukraine… they are playing to make a statement on Crimea. They will dig deep and feel they have relatively nothing to lose.

Toronto, imagine if Ukraine had faced Russia in this tournament - could have been an interesting encounter. Seems like they’ve not faced each other since Russia’s 2014 annexation of the Crimea, indeed not since long before then - October 1999.

Seems bizarre that Russia has been allowed to host the Winter Olympics (the same year as the annexation) and the World Cup since then - guess it’s mainly because Russia produces so much oil.

Russian and Qatar world cups awarded during Blatters hugely corrupt reign might have something to do with it.

Indeed Alf, but it was still within FIFAs powers to take the World Cup off Russia, particularly as there was still 4 years to go after the annexation of Crimea, plenty of time for an alterative host nation to make the necessary preparations.

As a Russian, I can say, we can easily win Euros if it was down to corruption. We are pros! World Cup …. Not so sure some strong contenders. But we could get some silverware for sure.

WR - you’re not wrong there, corruption comes in all shapes and sizes, and is often hidden in plain sight.

As a Russian, do you have any idea as to whether Putin will basically continue as President or perhaps puppet master for a new ‘President’ for the rest of his life, or will he at some point get bored/ tired of it all and walk away for a quiet life in retirement. Either way, when eventually he goes, do you feel it’s likely someone similar will take over the reins, or is there any chance of genuine constitutional democracy taking root in Russia.

Do you mean a corruption euro cup WR? As in the most corrupt wins?
