Looks like we will get Celtic and rangers.
Makes sense to give other teams in Scotland chance of Europe but not sure rangers and Celtic will appreciate championship football.

Never in a million years will Celtic or Rangers play over the border. The SPL will not let their fatted cows do that, they can't afford to. Neither will the two give up their Europe days, even tho they are so few and lastly, the big question of how/ where do you assimilate. Championship? Premier? There are arguements for both. If they are as good as they think then any spell in the Championship should only last a year and if the FA/ Prem give them a small, loss of Europe money, then the blow will be even less. Surely every club/ player wants to test themselves then it would seem the logical move yet I just cannot see it happening. It has been bubbling away for a number of years and so far - nothing.

If those two clubs did manage to get in to English premier they would be absolutely massive. There aren’t many clubs bigger then then two.

Rangers and Celtic are fairly average teams in a poor league BUT and it’s a big BUT, they can only face the opposition in front of them and they can only attract certain players with the amount of Scottish league money they receive. Right now they are bang average and possibly may struggle in the premier league but give them premier league money and premier league revenue and they will flourish just like most very well supported premiership teams do.
According to a website there average attendances before CV19 were above all premiership teams except for, Manchester United, arsenal and West Ham.
