Have I missed something because I don't recall Klopp damning the now defunct super league? I keep reading how he "threw Liverpool's owners under the bus" but have yet to find his quotes anywhere.
James Milner said last night he was totally against it but like I say I can't find Klopp saying anything similar.

The Architects of this supposed super league who ever they are need to be watched, they have shown they can't be trusted and are trying to steal the game of football. Maybe they will try to resurrect this again in the future in another format. The true voice of football, the fans have won this battle, but the greed in football is still lurking in the background. Maybe a revamp of premiership rules are needed to prevent breakaway teams a route back into the our home league if you go? When you hear that this super league was needed as big clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid and the Italian teams were in financial trouble, then maybe a salary cap in football and ceiling on transfer fees is needed in future. Greed needs greed, money wants money.

The DIRTY SIX must be punished by points deduction this season and/ or start of next season
Also the government must bring in legislation asap on ownership of English football clubs.

I agree Mezz that a salary and transfer cap be introduced but firstly it would have to be worldwide and also a complicated logarith must be found to even up the differing countries economies or you will still have the big boys picking off the small fry. Maybe such a logarithm just does not exist but somehow things must change. Much as I would like the sound of points deduction Baz I do not believe it to be enforcable. After all they did not exactly do anything other than make a statement of intent. Talking about murder is a lot different than murder. They have now come out of hiding and shown their true colours it is now up to the powers that be to find a way to placate the renegades. New Draconian laws to punish wrongdoers is all well and good but in the event all it will do is make money for the hordes of lawyers.

I think they tried with the financial fair play rules but owners just look for loopholes instead of just sticking with them.
